How we manage our waste at home is quite easy , because it has become part of our daily life, , and I am proud to say that we are doing our part in recycling things . We always make sure to collect plastic bottles, cans, and other recyclable materials instead of just throwing them away, It has become a habit for us, and we know how important it is in recycling for the environment.
Now, we do not have any recycle company nearby us , but we have got these individuals who come to houses to pick up any recyclables that we have collected and Sometimes, they even give us a little bit of money for what they collect it is not a lot, but it is actually a start.
So last week, I saw a recycling site on my way to going to school, and it got me thinking, It is not too far from our house, but it is still a bit of a distance well I'm pretty sure these individuals who come to pick up our recyclables must be taking them to that site. It is interesting to think about how our small efforts can make a difference.
Yeah…. So I have been thinking about how we can do more to help with recycling in our community, or Maybe we could start a small recycling program in our neighborhood or something I don't know if it will be kept up as a routine., because some people can be funny, it is just an idea, but I think it will be worth exploring maybe
Recycling things not just about saving the environment but it is also about creating jobs and opportunities for many people. I have seen individuals who collect recyclables and sell them to recycling sites, and it is a way for them to earn a living.
So as I was thinking about this, I realized that recycling is a big deal. It's not just about throwing away trash but also it's about taking care of our planet, We need to do more to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
I have been learning more about recycling and how it can help our community, It is amazing to see how many things can be recycled, from paper and plastic to glass and metal, etc … We just need to make sure we are doing our part in all.
You see our small efforts can truly add up, and if we all do our part, we can make a difference. I am not sure what the future holds, but I am hoping that we will see more recycling initiatives in our community.
Maybe one day, we will have a recycling program that will make it easier for people to recycle, So until then, we will keep doing what we can to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
I am not sure what the impact of our recycling efforts will be, but I am just hoping it will inspire many others to do the same. We can all make a difference no matter how small our actions may be
Also I really like those individuals who comes to pick up our recyclables and for the recycle site I saw last week , yeah It is a reminder that we are not alone in this effort we are making.
Recycling is just one way we can do our part, so we keep recycling, reducing and reusing, and see where it takes us.
I will keep thinking about ways we can improve our recycling efforts and share my ideas with others. Maybe together, we can make a bigger impact.
It is a start, and I am excited to see where it takes us. We can all make a difference, and it's time to take action, I will keep recycling, and I hope others too join so that we care for our planet that way.

I know in a neighborhood near me, there is a man who collects from people's houses to take their metal cans, because he can get money for those. Other recyclables don't earn you money anymore (paper used to, I'm not sure why you can't get cash back for it anymore since recycled paper is very much in demand these days!). In my apartment building, the landlord pays for recycling pickup as part of the trash service.
It's important that we follow the rules about what items they collect, to not contaminate the recycling with things that can't actually be recycled. That was the reason that China stopped accepting recycling from other countries, because it was always contaminated with things they couldn't use. For plastic, the main culprit, they could use #1 and #2 bottles (like, what you see milk or soda or juice come in). But there was always other plastics mixed in that they didn't want. So we have to be sure to find out what our local facilities take and do not take, so we don't cause problems, because if it's too contaminated, they end up throwing it ALL in the trash!

Oh I think I get what you mean now, this is like a new thing to me.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment here, at least I have learned something new from this.
Ands thanks for the tip. Much appreciated 😊
Your goal is very noble, by continuing to try to recycle used goods, and sharing that experience with others, an action that deserves appreciation.
I think so too, let's see how it goes
Great post, it really makes a difference to recyclw waste to keep our environment clean!
I hope more and more people will do that!
Similar things happened in Pakistan. Scrap collectors take all recycle able materials and modulate them into other things.
Yeah I guess its like that all over the world .
I doubt if there is any organization that deals with recycle here in Nigeria but all thanks to those people walking around to buy any kind of plastic and those Hausa guys picking and buying used iron because if not for them everywhere will be full of plastic and iron.
Though some areas are still full of used plastic which I don’t know the reason why but I guess those people buying plastic are not around there
I actually saw one place like that that deals with the recycle stuff , so I want to think that there are many other places like that too around the State
It might depend on the type of plastic. I know here it is mostly #1 and #2 bottles that get recycled, and the other plastics, not so much.

In my area, is either we burn the waste or pack it on one side, it is not like other countries that really have recycling centers where they can turn our waste into something useful
I think we have that o. Why else do they come pick up those plastics?
I haven't come across anyone here
