Hello everyone and happy weekend to you all, so yes,so see here, Living in Nigeria is seriously a mix of pride and also frustration at the same time, so some days you will wake up to be feeling grateful to be here because of the people, the energy, and our culture, and the strength we nigerians naturally just carry , then some other days you just sit down and be wondering if the country is also tired of us ,lol, because ehn ... things can just really be overwhelming.

One thing about Nigerians is that no matter how hard things will get, our people are still always pushing, the hustle spirit here is not normal at all, as in everybody is trying to survive one way or another and you will now see someone doing two or three jobs just because they want to make ends meet, andontop of it , somehow they are still smiling and cracking joke, that one resilience is something that me as a person will always admire about this country.
One good thing that has made me happy recently is how our Nigerian people continue to succeed globally despite the challenges at home, see whether it is in entertainment, tech, business, or even academics, nigerians are making names for themselves everywhere, it gives me this sense of pride that even though the system is actually not perfect, our people themselves are strong and very capable and It also gives hope, especially to the younger people ,that success is still possible no matter where you start from.
Another good thing is how we Nigerians do support each other in really difficult times, community spirit here is strong, if something happens to someone, neighbours, friends, even strangers sometimes step in to help, see that kind of humanity is something that you do not always see everywhere, and I appreciate it a lot.
But honestly, there are also things that do make me sad, and the major one is the cost of living, things are expensive in a way that is almost unbelievable sometimes, Food prices keep going up, house rent is very madding high, transportation is high, basic things that people need daily are just becoming harder to afford and It affects everyone, families, students, business owners as in , nobody is really spared at, you will see people working so hard but still struggling to live comfortably, and that part of life is painful to watch.
Another thing is the uncertainty in the country, sometimes policies change suddenly and then people are left to adjust overnight , It now creates a kind of anxiety because you do not always know what tomorrow will look like, see ehn ....stability is something that many nigerians are now craving right now.
As for the way forward, I believe that leadership plays a big role, we need leaders who can genuinely prioritize the welfare of the citizens and also think long term, not just immediate gains, but at the same time, citizens also have responsibilities, we also need to be more accountable and more honest in our daily dealings, and more willing to support positive change.
Youth involvement is also very important, young people need to participate more in governance and decision making processes because they are the future of our country, education and skill development should also be encouraged so people can create opportunities for themselves instead of waiting endlessly for yeye jobs that might not come.
And despite everything, I still believe that things can get better, nigeria has too much potential to remain stuck, our people are hardworking, creative, and also resilient, with the right systems and also the right mindset, progress is possible.
So yes, living here is not easy but then, it is still our home, and home is always worth hoping for.

Smiles, Nigeria my country.
It is we with us, we did have the habit of adjusting, adapting and fitting into anything that comes at us. It's just high time we stop keeping quiet and take actions.
And just like you said, things can get better. I also believe that things will definitely get better.
Thanks for sharing.
