So, if I were to retire today and be placed on pension for the rest of my life, my first reaction would be relief Yeah... I would feel relief because life is already stressful with all the responsibilities and pressure of figuring things out every day, knowing that I do not have to wake up every morning thinking about work or money would remove a weight from my chest.

I know myself that if I just sit down and do nothing, I will get bored really fast,So, i am not the type that can stay idle for long, when I say that i want to rest, after some time, my mind will start looking for something to do,retirement for me would not mean doing nothing; it would just mean doing things at my own pace without any kind of pressure.

And the number one thing I know I would definitely do is focus on the things I actually enjoy, for example, baking, i have always loved baking, life and responsibilities sometimes push passion to the side. Retirement would give me the chance to return to baking, not even for business at first, just for the joy of creating things with my hands again, there is something calming about mixing flour, butter, and sugar and watching it turn into something beautiful.

I would also spend more time writing, Yeah... writing has become a part of me. Having more free time would allow me to express myself more without rushing, I think retirement would be the time to explore my creativity fully.

Another thing i would do is enjoy life moments more, i would spend time with my family and, yes, visit my friends, laugh, and have conversations without checking the time. Sometimes we do not realize how much work schedules control our lives until we imagine life without them.

To avoid boredom, I would create some daily routines for myself, maybe I would go for morning walks, try new recipes, learn something online, or watch movies or documentaries, learning never really stops, and retirement would give me time to learn things just because I want to, not because I have to.

I would also like to travel, even if it is small trips, it does not have to be every time, just changing my environment sometimes can refresh my mind, seeing places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures make life interesting.

The good thing about retirement with pension is the peace of mind that comes with stability, knowing that I still have income without working actually removes a lot of anxiety, that peace alone can make someone enjoy life more.

Honestly, retirement would not mean the end of productivity for me; it would just mean freedom, freedom to choose how I spend my time, freedom from pressure, and freedom to rest when I want and be active when I want.

If I am being very honest, I do not think humans are built to do nothing at all because somehow we always find something to fill our days,I believe I would still stay active, but just in a more relaxed way that I will be happy about. Retirement, for me, would simply be a softer life.

I found it interesting how you treated retirement not as the end of productivity, but as freedom. I think I agree; it made me reflect a bit, and it seems to make perfect sense!

Yes ... Retirement doesn't need to be the end of being productive

This is a beautiful piece, and like you said, humans will always have something to keep their hands on...even if it's little.
So go too see that you will continue to focus on baking which you already love to do...

Thanks for sharing.
