Even With AI, Knowledge Still Matters.

In this day and age language translation is really easy with Artificial Intelligence, youu can just open an app and speak and the other person will hear it in their language, this makes me think that some people might wonder if learning languages is still necessary, I mean technology has made it really easy to communicate with people who speak languages.. I still think learning a new language is a good thing whether we have Artificial Intelligence or not.

So personally for me, I actually do wish to learn Spanish, korean, and japanese someday, see this has always been something I find interesting, there is just something beautiful about hearing people speak different languages, the accents, the expressions, even the way that they arrange their sentences, sometimes you realize that certain feelings or meanings exist in one language that you cannot even properly translate into another, that alone shows that language is more than just words , it carries culture, emotions, and identity.

The only reason I have not started learning yet is because of where my mind is right now, Omo ehn..., my head is just full of plenty things these days, when ones mind is scattered with responsibilities and life matters, it can really be hard to sit down and focus on learning something new, so I keep telling myself maybe when I have a clearer head and more stability, I will finally take it seriously, but it is still something I want for myself andi will get it.

Some people might say AI will make language learning useless, but I don’t agree at all, technology can help communication, yes, but it cannot replace the personal satisfaction that comes from actually understanding and speaking a language yourself. Imagine traveling somewhere and being able to communicate naturally with people without needing your phone every time, That confidence alone is worth it.

Also, learning a new language is an added advantage to you as a person. It improves your brain, your memory, and even your ability to understand different cultures, It can open doors to opportunities you never expected jobs, friendships, travel experiences, and even entertainment, For example, watching movies or listening to music in the original language hits differently when you understand what they are saying without subtitles, that feeling is priceless.

I don’t think AI translating languages is a bad trend either, In fact, it is helpful, It allows people from different parts of the world to connect more easily, do business, and share ideas, but I also don’t think it waters down the beauty of languages unless people themselves decide to stop learning completely, the beauty of language comes from humans using it, preserving it, and passing it down, technology cannot remove that unless we allow it to.

At the end of the day, learning a new language is not only about necessity, it is about growth, It is about curiosity, it is about expanding yourself beyond your comfort zone, whether AI is there or not, the value of personal knowledge will always remain.

So for me, Artificial Intelligence or no Artificial Intelligence learning languages is still a big plus, and hopefully one day when my mind is less crowded, I will finally sit down and start with one of them, step by step sha.
