What a crucial discussion we have here in the #hiveleaners featured content, channeled towards prison, punishment or rehabilitation? What we should consider first when it comes to crimes are what kind of crime that is committed or involved.

I believe that there are some crimes that deserves punishment and there are others we can be talking about those involved to be rehabilitated. This simple means that criminal acts are not always equal when compared in weight. To rehabilitate a criminal must be of those who falls under minors, like picking pockets, those who snatches bags at the bus-stops, drug addicts who attack people to collect their smartphones. These are minor crimes, that those involved can still be rehabilitated.

Major serious criminal acts like those involving shooting and killing someone on the process of robbing him or her, those who burgle people”s people houses to cater away valuable properties , a psycho who murders some sets of people, maybe after robbing them or a random rapist. These are serious criminal acts and those involved might not be able to be rehabilitated because of the extent they have gone with this act through their life.

The focus when it cones to committing criminals into prison is to weigh the weight of their crime, as this will enable the law to know where to place the person involved. A minor offender who is just a picking pocket criminal is not supposed to be punished in the same manner with a major crime who is a murderer as both did not commit the sane weight of crime. This also will decide who is to be punished and who is to be rehabilitated. With this system in hand, there will always be a clearer view at a glance.

Concern Should Be Victims Involved:

In all, the most valuable concern should be those called the victims that are involved in the crime because they say he who wears the shoe 👠 knows where it hurts. And the same is applicable to those who are involved as crime victims.

Victims of crimes are the ones that suffers it most because they are the ones that got the pain, snd most of them might still be suffering from the aftermath consequences. Someone who has been raped by a Psycho might live all her life in a nightmare or traumatized by the incident. So , the victims should be considered first before any action is taken , which is why serious cases of crime deserves those involved punished so the victims can get a fair justices. A rapist can not be being rehabilitated because the victim will never be happy seeing the person walked out from the prison without being punished.

And a murderer, after killing many souls does not have to be rehabilitated immediately. He should be punished. Serve some years of jail terms before going to the rehabilitation center if need be. Murder is a serious case and those who has got the mind to kill should suffer the consequences. For me, I feel a murderer deserves to die. Although, the Bible admonished repentance if the person can repent righteously, but how about those who are in pain because of their dead loved 🥰 ones. We should leave that to God, Right? But it does hurt so much that sometimes it becomes so hard to let go.

Let the law state out it’s verdict clearly so that those who commit crimes will know what to face which are consequences. It could be death to death for serious crimes like murder, while minor offenders gets lighter punishment before rehabilitation. Allowing murderers, rapist, burglars of all kinds and other heavy crime offenders to go to rehabilitation is not the best for a country because it makes the law to weaken over time and creates more dangerous perceptions. “Only the victims will keep suffering if this happens”.
