Hello friends of hive. Hope we are all enjoying our week despite everything happening in our different environments. But such is life because once power is in the hands of a man, he will change from what he use to be.
It saddens me anytime I want to pen π on issues of governance as regards to democracy and those in power, especially in my country Nigeria π³π¬ because in recent times the leadership strategy is is no more democratic as we know democracy is a government by the people because things are really not what it use to be while we were growing up. Democracy as we know should be an elected government by the citizens of a country through everyone castings a vote to. Choose an individual as a leader with his selected cabinets.
But in my country Nigeria π³π¬, Democratic government has become a one - man decision making which has jeopardized the economy and has kept my country in an edge of disarray since the present government took laws into their hands by rigging the election and declared their party the winner . This is a dirty game of immortality and lack of conscience since many are bribed to connive with those that has upper hand in politics.
I have not seen such a situation where governance is taken by force because a certain party group is so corrupt and has no conscience to know what is right and wrong. The present government has forced us into suffering and struggling to cope with the hardships they have subjected the country into by not caring and nothing minding how the citizens want to cope.
Although the global recession seemed to be going on all over the world π, but my country Nigeria π³π¬ is suffering the most because we donβt have leaders who are articulative to know the right decision making that should be made at a given time that will not cause more harm than good.
Being a leader of a nation is one that is not easy especially when a leader refuses also to carry his subordinates along. Decision making in democratic rules should be a joint agreement but here in my country, the present Nigeria π³π¬ President is one who makes decisions alone without caring what consequences the result will be. In a democratic government, the peoples voice is what matters through freedom of speech and right of citizens, but vase versa is the case here since the citizens donβt even have one voice due to how the government are favoring some while others are suffering.
The removal of Fuel β½οΈ Subsidy in my country by the President who forced himself into the Office of The President was the beginning of what the nation and its citizens are suffering. Prices of commodities has tripled which income still remains static . Fuel has caused transportation, food, drugs, properties, etc, to triple since fuel β½οΈ determines every thing in general.
Why The Frustrations?
I canβt remember when I voted last during election because every election in my country has always ended with the politicians having s way to rig the election no matter however the electoral body manages to make it fair. This is a very big frustration to the citizens of Nigeria who spends their time on cue only to end up not having their choice of choosing person to be there as elected because those with money π° will bribe their way in.
And now that the economy is very tense and affecting most people especially those in the lower earning level, everyone is calling for the removal of the fuel β½οΈ subsidy because its the major issue to the inflation my country is facing. But will the leaders listen to the voice of the people?
The freedom of speech π€ is no more working in my country since the situation has become survival of the fittest. Many are calling for the removal of the price added to fuel β½οΈ while others are busy pursuing their daily activities because they believe the government who are the leaders has failed us . The last called protest by labour union for demonstration as regards to fuel price reduction was not effective because many went behind to collect bribe. βWhen things fails apart, the centre can never withhold- a popular quote by an African Writer- Chinua Achebe.
The best solution to this present issue is that am seeing the military warming up to take over this present government, if only they can stay clean and not continue to take bribes from this present government. And secondly, my country is over populated. Disintegrations might be another solution. Disintegration will help each mapped out country take up and manage their citizens in smaller populations.
We keep hoping for a turning point to every nation of the world π that is facing democracy failure.

The Nigerian kind of democracy is a whole lot of shame. The citizens are treated as none existing.
Instead of making policies that will better the lots of the electorate, the government has been anti-people.
Big shame and those governing do not care. When a man sells his conscience to the devil its a game over.
Only God is our hope of restoration π
On God.
But a revolution can bring about the needed change too.
The change starts with us, we need to exercise our voting rights regardless of the outcome, and I might be sceptical about the points listed here, I don't support Separatism, many Nations has even more Diversity in their Ethnicity and culture but they have been progressing as a Nation.
Hmmm Military Rule might look like a solution too but we should be careful what we wished for o, Dictatorship might be a drastic approach for us.
We need to exercise our voting right only in a country without corrupt system. Its so devastating going to the poll and becoming a victim of hoodlums target to injury and others. That was what we saw in the last election.
Separatism because Nigeria π³π¬ is over 200 million now, and in Africa, a third tier country. Its will be very hard to be managed by one person. Some people enjoying, others suffering.
However, we are already experiencing dictatorship in a democratic rule because the present government is behaving and acting nonchalantly without carrying the citizens along. In the first place they took the office by not winning which is by force like in the military governance.
So which way out?
