I think we should all at this time of change and awareness get to know that moving at a slower pace in life is key, especially when it has to do with what we want to become in the nearest future . By this, I mean that rushing over things while still growing up have made many of us involve ourselves in big mistakes.
The problem we have as humans is looking at others and trying to emulate them in what ever they are doing or plan to do, forgetting the very fact that each an every one of us has different desire in life. And even as time goes, many of us are bound to change our mind towards new goals, because this is human nature when it comes to choice and decision making.
Another of this problem many of us faced was from our parents while we were growing up. Our parents were the ones taking decisions for us. On which school to go to, what course to study π and even to the extent of who we should marry. This has been one biggest problem and a huge amount of pressure towards why many are living in regret and trying to find their footings while getting older.
You see, this is one good reason I admired the Western World π so much and most times tries to emulate them in one or two things. Western parents do not force their kids or children on what course to study π neither rush them into doing things. Rather, they slowly watch their their children and study them to know which areas of activities they show interest in. With this, they will gradually encourage them into studying what they like that will pay off in years to come.
How can a parent force their child of 17 year old who is about to finish secondary school to apply to study medicine because they want him or her to become a doctor due to how a family friendβs daughter is reading medicine? As parents, you need to first know what course of study your son or daughter wants to study π. And this is why many finished universities, but are not happy, especially with current economic situation all around the world π.
Many at their adult age, has taken decisions at several points in time , looking for better areas of interest and are happier because they are doing what they like at that point in time. βSo its not he who started the race that winsβ When we get older and matured, we feel some kinds of change in us, showing that there is new developments through the way we think, reason and decisions we make. We have to see this as stages of human change in life.
I was to go to Aviation βοΈ School π« after secondary school because I love π to become an Air Hostess to travel the world π, but mother was so scared π±. Considering her anxiety, I decided to read Business Administration as an Art Student π©βπ and with my fatherβs encouragement. Worked in Organizations , mostly Businesses Enterprises and Business Oriented.
But today, I ended up into Property Management And Clientele Services after attending some basic training courses, because as I got older, I developed interest and took personal decisions, knowing what I wanted at the stage of life that I have gotten to. This is all about becoming more mature and finding out things that will help push me further in life. I can tell with this move, I became more aware of how life works.
However, life is surely with stages, and we donβt necessarily have to be in a hurry because I believe that time is the only thing that matters. I mean, even though many will go on in a circle βοΈ, time will surely locate them with their final place of knowing what matters most for them. βIt all a gradual process towards growthβ.
