What a funny topic to write on... Taking me back to the days I had no sense π
Growing up was very fun for me because we lived in a compound surrounded by many children, most of which were my age mates.
We also had this wonderful opportunity of having older children around who once in a while would love to flex their seniority by teaching us what we don't know then, hehehe.
By so doing, the respect we had for them was kept intact.

It was in one of those teaching occasions that one of them asked us one after another what we would love to be growing up...You needed to see the funny responses people were giving, hehe.
In my own case, I just said that I wanted to be rich as my profession when I grow up.
How could I forget that day when the whole adults around bursted into laughter on hearing my response.
As a kid, I didn't even know why they were laughing and was confused π.
That was my very first dream profession.
Writing about this now makes me laugh also because how could I have thought about that of all professions, it's not even a profession to start with.... I guess that was why the adults around then laughed also.
Few years later, my profession changed to answering that I want to be a priest when asked what I'll love to be when I grow up.
Don't know if you had this intrinsic desire to be a priest growing up? Well, for my case I had it and it burned in my heart for a very long time.
I guess joining the Altar Server's Association would have partly affected my decision of becoming a priest.
As life may have it, I continued by entering a missionary school for my secondary school education and my desire to be a priest kept on burning as a result of various religious activities we engaged in even against our wish since it was in the school rules and regulations including praying four times everyday.
Not until I was in senior class that I discovered that I really can't go ahead and be a priest at all because the lifestyle I would love to live is entirely different from that priests live and so came the third change in profession, hehe.
Life has a way of making her own decision for us in the end and here am I not even in seminary (without any interest of entering anymore too), lol.
The passion continued swinging like a pendulum and landed me to another dream which was to be a medical doctor.
What I've come to understand is that Your environment also has a way of influencing your dreams... If you are surrounded by doctors, a part of you would love to be a doctor, if you are surrounded by businessmen, a part of you would love to be a businessman also and so on and so forth.
This is my entry on the #Hivelearners Prompt of #HL-W71E1
Thanks for reading and have a nice dayπ
Lolz, you made me laugh while reading this. If being rich was a profession, nobody would have love to be a doctor or lawyer and that's where the effect of childhood comes into the picture.
We don't think and we just do what comes to mind in many situation.
It's my first time seeing someone who wished to be a priest and that tell how religious you are. Reality dawned on us as we grew and here we are today. Life has a different plans while we have ours too, what matters now is that we are happy with whatever we are doing.

Happiness actually remains the core of them all... Once we are happy, I feel we can go ahead and get to whatever career we really wanted
Congratulations π₯³

Thanks dear... I appreciate
As for me,
"When I grow up, I want to be successful."
"Successful what?", my teacher would ask.
"Just anything, I just want to be successful." Hahaha
Until now, uh, just successfully sent my siblings to school. Lol

Well your idea about being rich as a profession isn't compared to how the reason why everyone is chasing a career is to become rich, I guess you just fast forwarded your dreams to the end result π
Our surroundings don't just influence our dreams, it dictates it some times, imagine some that was born by a hoodlum, into a thuggish environment, what kind of future do you expect such a child to have.

Funny blog...
Hehe... I'm glad you loved it
You welcome
It's the priest lifestyle you said being different from the one you wanted for meπ. Frfr, I actually had a lot of occupation I wanted to study tooπ€¦. Thinking about it now,I feel so dumb. There was a point in my life I said I wanted to be a lawyer, bro I entered Senior secondary school and became a science student ππ. Then another I wanted to be an astronaut, then there was an artist and a superhero. The fact that I'm studying something completely different from all these I fantasized on is funny and at the same time not funnyππ
πππ
Omo... Their lifestyle and mine no dy align at all
ππππ You've gotten quite a lot of goals you wanted to.
