Wow! Just like that, Christmas is just four days away, while the new year begins in just ten days. What a beautiful gift and a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Honestly, it’s just being GOD all the way… It’s that time of the year again, and just as we all know, December is a month filled with nonstop celebration, including the celebration of christmas, new year and other celebrations. Honestly, it feels just like yesterday when we ushered in the new year, and just like that, that same year is coming to a wrap in just a couple of days. This is indeed a big blessing…
This Sunday happens to be the last third Sunday of the year 2025, which means the next third sunday we will be having again will be the first of the year 2026, hurray! Hold on guys, now that i think about it, i think today is our Christmas carol celebration, i’m not really sure if it’s today but then i think it’s either today or 24th, but then I think it’s still on the 24th of this current month…
The year 2025 has indeed been a whole lot. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, both as a student and also as a young adult who is struggling and striving hard to make a lemonade out of the lime life has given to him. I remember saying this a couple of days ago in one of the weekly prompts. Let me repeat myself again, this year’s Christmas and new year celebration will be in the lowkeyest way possible. The goal is to go to church, praise the Lord, come back home, eat what is available to me, and maybe visit a couple of places before finally finding my way back to my humble abode where I’d enjoy myself further in the company of my Netflix…
This is me living the life I can afford to live. There will definitely be merriment and enjoyment, but then i’m not really in the mood for crowded celebrations. I just want to eat my chicken or ponmo in the lowkeyest way possible, while I prepare for the new year, since it’s gonna be a really stressful one for me. I am an ND finalist, which means once school resumes fully next year, I might not even have enough time for myself not to talk more of adding more workloads to my schedule. It’s going to be a long year, but then it’s all going to end in praise…

Moving on, when we talk about favorite Christmas memory. Honestly, the last time i had a mind blowing Christmas experience was many years ago. This should be during my childhood. Growing up, life was sweet and less stressful, especially on special days like birthdays, easters, Christmas and new years. As a child, the month of December is that one month I always look forward to, and that’s because it’s one of the special days we get to eat different delicious foods and drinks. We merry like there’s no tomorrow. Be it Christmas or New Year, there’s always a different outfit, which is one of the best experiences ever…
Everything back then, including clothes, foodstuffs and other crucial items were sold for less, but now inflation has spoilt everything. The economic crisis of the country has halted everything. Now, we have to make do with whatever we have and can get…
In summary, my best Christmas memory will always be the one I had in my childhood days, especially that particular year when my dad got my brother and i a SOLDIER outfit for the Christmas celebration, and an expensive native outfit for the new year celebration. This was the best memory ever…
In conclusion, life back then was affordable and beautiful. Now it’s more about feeling thankful and grateful for being alive and well…
