Learning is continuous, the moment you stop learning you start dying. - UNKNOWN
Learning has always been fun and interesting for me since i started my educational journey. I have never been the reading type since i started schooling, not even when examination is near. I have never been the type to take examinations extremely serious. Things were different for me as a young adult and that was because of my ability to grasp things easily and quickly in the class. My listening and understanding skills were top notch back then, the only thing i do on various occasions is to try to familiarize myself with the vocabularies used for easier and efficient pronunciation. My calculations skills have always been average and that average skills of mine has always proved to be the best countless times, it has earned me quite the reputation from my early years in primary school down to my college years…
I grew up thinking learning was fun and interesting. I won’t deny it though, it’s actually fun to an extent. But when I started approaching the advanced level of learning everything changed. It was at this point I realized there was more to reading and understanding than what i did in the past. It was at this point i eventually grasped what it meant to be in an advanced class. The problem started immediately I settled for my choice of department as a college student. I thought all my science subjects would be as fun like the ones i did in my junior year, little did i know i was playing with fire…
I eventually became a science student and it was at this point i realized there was something called difficulty in learning. The first phase of my difficulty started with PHYSICS. The introductory phase of this subject was actually fun and interesting for some reason, but as time went on I realized there was more to it than i thought…
It all started after our Physics teacher was changed, I think that was in my SS1. The new teacher we got was averagely good but when it comes to passing the message across to us, he was quite bad at it. It was at this point I started withdrawing from the subject bit by bit until it was no longer part of me…
I had already started my journey as a science student, there was nothing I could do, it was a bit too late to go back so i decided to push myself harder by learning how the subject works to an extent, at least just for the duration of my high school . I did that and made credit in it. I thought i was done with Physics as a whole and that we would have no whatsoever relationship with each other ever again, little did i know i was being a joker…
Guess what guys, i am literally back to that particular subject, but now it’s a course I have to do and pass in the tertiary institution. I guess i am in this for life, there is no escaping it…
The only reason i found physics hard to learn was because of the terrible teacher i had to teach me back then in school. I attended a semi-standard school, this school lacked so many things including good teachers. I guess that was exactly why it was hard for me to comprehend…
Physics was hard for me, but then I couldn’t ditch it because i had already picked up a career path in it. At-least I would have to do it for about one more year before i eventually choose a different major. I might have not mastered it yet but one thing is for sure, i am working very hard to learn it, mainly because of my grade in the institution. What happens to the knowledge of it afterwards is non of my , i just want to pass the course well…
In conclusion, it’s not about how far, it’s about how well, and right now i have no other choice than to undertake the job I’ve assigned for myself, and that too to the best of my abilities and capabilities…
THANKS FOR READING…
What an inspirational post! I'm so glad I stopped by. You know, I use that phrase so often when I'm talking to my children: that when you stop leaning, your dead. @zakludick is studying project management and simultaneously achieving a high school diploma equivalent. I am so proud of him! I am studying social media marketing! Studying does get more difficult as you get older, but it's definitely not impossible! Especially if you have a good teacher! Most of my studying, including my high school diploma, was done through correspondence so I didn't have the benefit of a teacher at all. It's a powerful motivator when you've got the right teacher on your side! You can accomplish anything! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I think I need to take my own advice! Lol!
Wow, this is more than i expected, and i really appreciate your contribution ma. I can’t agree more on everything you have just said.
The last phrase made me laugh real hard lol, thanks for stopping by mam..
It makes me so happy to make people laugh! But really, well done to you!
