MY FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE IN A COURTROOM 👨‍⚖️👨‍⚖️

It was at this moment I realised that the courts been shown and displayed on the tv screen is entirely and totally different from the ones in real life...

I never knew it could sometimes be violent Lol, my first visit to the court was by mistake Lol 🤣no it wasn't by mistake but a coincidence, I remember vividly it was last year when I was still under my loan collector boss, I was privileged to visit the court thanks to a law firm opposite our loan company and on getting there I saw what a court house is for myself and I was stunned and stuttered Lol 🤣 it was just so shocking because I never thought I could visit the court house that day and to top it all I was privileged to listen to lawyer arguing their claims Lol, it was just so fun yet scary lol 🤣🤣🤣...

I could see them talking like they were having a debate competition waiting turns to take the floor and it was just so exciting because the only difference was that they were both in gowns and wig lol 🤣🤣 and that made the visit more fun...

Let me take you all to the beginning of event, why I went to the court tha day and how it all turned out at the day and that means if the verdict was in our favour or not....

Last year I was privileged to work in a loan firm and opposite us was a law firm, we had a law firm with a good and qualified lawyer because his office is always filled up with clients Lol I was a worker for my boss and the lawyer also had a young boy of my age working for him and as time goes on we became friends and we were been spotted in weekends having fun like brothers would and he has always shared his experiences with me regarding every of his visits to the court house because he goes to the courthouse very often to deliver some relevant documents to his boss the lawyer...

He told me the first time he visited the courthouse, he felt like he was in a Yoruba movie lol 🤣🤣🤣 he saw those funny wigs of both the lawyers and the judge and he could not help but laugh out loud lolz 😂🤣🤣...

He was opportuned to stay there until his boss was done with his wok, judging from what I heard, he said his boss was fighting for his client over the possession of a particular land and that was what made him visit the courthouse....

I was very intrigued by the story that day, I thought he was sugar coating everything because he wanted me to feel jealous lolz, this were my thoughts until the day I went there myself and i saw how everything was slowly unfolding itself lolz, it was like magic because at that moment I fell in love with being a lawyer lol but immediately that thought drove into my head, those horrible death scenes in yoruba movies of lawyers and judges been killed lolz just pops into my head and I reject the thought immediately...

It got to a point where I was curious and dieing to visit the courthouse because I thought it would be fun to be there and also to witness a court verdict for the first time in my life...

Funny enough Lol 🤣🤣🤣 I have not even for once gone to the court over any bank issue because I know it is only a bank issue that can also make one visit the court, a situation where they ask you to go get an affidavit and a newspaper print out for a change of name problem...

I have never had any issue with my bank and that means I have never had any reason to visit the courthouse until this beautiful day...

August 2021 was the first time I went to a courthouse myself, I sat down and experienced what it truly means to be in the courthouse..

I was able to visit the courthouse that day because of my friend, he was very very ill so he couldn't make it to work that day and his boss has an early morning trial at the courthouse that faithful day...

Judging from the the time to drive down from his house to the office before going back to the court again, he is bound to be late which he can't risk and that made his boss move straight from home and he was in dire need of some documents from his office, I was at the office that day and he asked my boss to please send me to drop those documents with him in the courthouse...

Funny enough I didn't know the location of the courthouse until my boss asked one of his friend to drop me there and I got there with that particular documents...

Immediately I got to the location, he was still in his seat arranging everything and immediately I got inside I saw him standing close to his side and I rushed to drop the documents and he thanked me for coming and he asked me to wait for him and that made me to sit down that day and I saw how everything was happening...

Judging from what was been argued on that day, it was a court case over the OWNERSHIP OF LAND, I couldn't understand what they were saying fully but from the facts that were been laid out and stated, I deduced it was a fight over land ownership...

I wasn't able to understand few of those terms because I was more interested in the end result of the argument than the cause of it lol 🤣, I had to watch both lawyers argue their points and also presenting evidences of their statements and claims, the involved parties were called to take the stand that day including the witnesses involved and thank God for a written agreement, we won the court case that day...

It was found out that there was a written agreement and a third party was involved when the land was about to be sold and after dragging and arguing on points it was solely believed that the land had been sold to my friends boss client and he has paid 80 percent of the land fee to him...

In summary, we were told to pay up the remaining 20 percent of the land fee before the particular set date and then the land documents will be handed over to us without stress...

In conclusion, I was happy at the turn out of event that day but I was more delighted to have visited the courthouse for the very first time and that too with a win which made my day beautiful and fulfilling...
