DECEMBER THEME: CUT YOUR COAT ACCORDING TO YOUR CLOTH…

(edited)

Wow! It’s that time of the year again. The time where many people will chook their heads into different debts and loans just to make sure these festive days are celebrated in a grand scheme. Honestly, I still don’t understand why many people think celebrating these special days in a grand scheme is a must. I know for a fact that some people have started making plans already on how to make these special days a memorable one, including those who can afford it and those who can’t. Of all things to go into debt for, you choose festive celebration as a good reason to collect loans? Oh my goodness…

Celebrating these festive holidays is not a must, which means you don’t have to celebrate it if you can’t afford it. The goal is to do whatever you can afford to do, cook and eat what you can afford, feed the number of people you can feed. Don’t go around asking for loans or owing debts to celebrate these days…

Don’t let one mummy Nkechi or mummy Tope pressurize you into debts or loans. Do not let your neighbors live chicken or live turkey pressurize you into debt. You are not in a competition with anyone. Your competition should only be with your pockets. When mummy Nkechi and mummy Tope start paying back their loans and debts next year, you won’t be called upon to pay part of it. Let everyone know their pocket size and limit. Moreover, i have tried checking my bible to see where the celebration of these special days was made mandatory. The truth about this whole festive season is that celebrating it isn’t mandatory, it’s not a do or die affair. It is not written anywhere in the holy bible. This is just our own personal belief and interpretation…

It’s high time we started thinking ahead of these festive holidays. If you can’t afford to celebrate these holidays within budget, then don’t celebrate it at all. Just go to church, thank God for another successful year, come back home and eat your concoction rice on a low. Doing this is better than paying debts after the whole festive season has ended. The peace of mind that comes with not having to take loans or going into debts just to make these celebrations happen is one like no other. For goodness sake, if you can’t afford live turkey, go for live chicken. If you can’t afford live chicken, go for frozen turkey. If you can’t afford frozen turkey, go for frozen chicken. If you can’t afford frozen chicken, go for cow meat. If you can’t afford cow meat, go for frozen fish. If you can’t afford frozen fish, go for dry fish. If you can’t afford dry fish, then go for ponmo…

Don’t feel compelled to kill a live turkey or chicken if you can’t afford one. If you don’t eat live turkey or chicken this year, you won’t die. But if you go into debts and loans to eat live turkey and chicken this year, you might die from starvation when paying up your loans next year. So it’s better to eat what you can afford, atleast you are enjoying it in peace, no one is coming for your head after the whole festive season has come to an end. Cut your coat according to your cloth, that’s the theme for this year’s festive celebration…

At the end of the day, this same people who ate and wined with you during the festive season will join them in mocking you when the loan officers come knocking at your door. This is why you should always live within your pocket size. You are not entitled to feed the public, so don’t feel obligated to…

SURVIVAL TIPS FOR DECEMBER…

Source

I have just only one survival tip for you you all this festive season, and that survival tip is never going into loan or debts to make the celebration happen, either in a grand scheme or in a lowkey manner. Eat what you have and can afford. Don’t feel pressured to celebrate large, especially if you know your pocket size…

This is not the time to keep up with the yearly december traditions. Traditions like yearly Christmas outfits, knockouts and carnival expenses. These traditions are nothing and they are very expensive. If you choose to keep up with these traditions, then there’s no way you won’t run into debts later on. Buy what you can afford, and if you can’t afford anything, go to your wardrobe, ghana-must-go, or traveling bag, look for that particular outfit you haven’t worn in like 5 months, iron it well, find some nice pair of shoes and you are good to go. No be every time you go dey buy new clothes and shoes, be wise, you are not in competition with anyone

As for me, i don’t have any plans this december, na weytin my mama cook i go chop ( i will settle for anything my mom prepares). After church, i come home, eat whatever is being prepared, and then sleep. Once i’m up, it’s Netflix time and probably some visitation to a couple of places, simple as that…

In conclusion, be wise this december, so you won’t regret doing any oblee later on. Stay away from debts and loans this december. Eat what you can afford and wear what you have…

Surely, it is not a must to celebrate Christmas, but someone with kids has to celebrate it with their children. your kids cannot stay without wearing clothes.

Hun. This is deep. So you will rather go into debts to make it happen than sticking to the ones you have?
