Just A Day Before Christmas...

The same Christmas I was counting months and weeks to is now a day from now ?. December is super fast guys!!. I can't even account for the things I did in each day, urghh.

The festive week is here already, though it is not really looking like it here because if where I am presently. The major signs that we are in festive period are seeing very fewer students around, shops closed and so much dust enough to get one high. There have been sounds of knockout fireworks being blown steadily every night since late last week, sometimes it doesn't stop for about 10 minutes: I just wonder why some guys are spending so much on these fireworks, yeah I understand the feeling but c'mon they blow up more than 15 at a go every night... well it's their money.

I would have a lot to say about te festive season if I were in my parents house, Lagos State. That place is already bubbling, they aren't joking at all, you see something saying "it's Christmas" almost everywhere, designs, bill boards, flyers, decoration in buildings like clubs, hotels, restaurants and malls. Nothing much like that is happening here, it's a bit low here. I heard many hotels in Lagos had been booked down already for a month, not even some days or weeks.

For me, it's been going very well despite the fact that school activities like classes and tests and final year project have been trying to make it less interesting. This is the second time I will be in school for Christmas. I don't know exactly how it will be but I know it will be good and fun with my friends around me. I planned to go home but my supervisor has refused to let me and my project mate go home for any holiday,osm3 of my project mate are travelling home regardless of his threat. I changed my mind to stay back and save my parents the cost of transportation that would be about x2 of the normal price. The things I will be missing out on are my family, friends, home church, the environment, visiting the beach with my friends and foooooooood!!.

If I were home now, I would be eating 3 sqaure meal with some snacks too. I'd definitely enjoy myself because of the food, friends and family around. Here in school, I have to stay sharp and wise 😂😂 else I will regret if I spend without proper planning. The harmattan is not really helping, cold late at night, very annoying dust and hot sun late morning and afternoon. Sometimes a nose mask won't do the job because this place is red soil. One of the worst thing is if you out on white or fall down in this harmattan period, just go back home to change, you can't clean it off. Christmas is the celebration of the broth of Jesus, our Saviour. Not my birthday, I won't bother to stress myself, just enjoy the moment and appreciate and stick to the significance of his birth.

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Lol, I feel you man!!
It's crazy how fast December flew by. I can imagine how different it must feel celebrating Christmas in school instead of being back home with family and friends. You're being very considerate by choosing to stay back and save on transportation costs, though! Jesus is indeed the reason for the season! Thanks for sharing your man. Merry Christmas to you❤️
