The Last Time I Read a Physical Book 📕

Reading books is something I enjoy doing when I have the time, and since the introduction of digital books, I have been more interested in reading online, where I get to download books I want through PDF and read on my Book App on my iPhone or just read directly from my Android phone in PDF format.

The reason I chose reading digital books is that they are easily accessible anytime and anywhere, without having to go out and find them in stores. However, it doesn’t stop me from reading physical books because I still love holding books in my hand, flipping through the pages, and inhaling the sweet scent from each page.

I love physical books because of the highlighting option, where I can easily use my pen (mostly red) to highlight sentences that catch my attention.

The last time I read a physical book was last month, and that was a big novel and a physical book I first bought while in university. I was walking by the school store with my friends, and we decided to get some water when my eyes caught this book titled: "Relationship, Marriage and Family Life for the 21st Century Believer" written by George Olawale.

George Olawale Adegboye is an Apostle of the New Testament. This book by him proffers solutions to the dilemma people face when it comes to resolving conflicts in their homes, and I love how he thoroughly dissects various methods of resolving them.

The first time I read this book, I almost finished it before I got drifted away with things, but the ones I read stuck with me till now. It was so surprising when I could still remember a particular word recently when I was having my personal time with the Holy Spirit, and I needed the right word to describe something and suddenly, the word came up in my mind.

Something I have never thought about for over two years since I read the book, but it’s so funny how things we read or come across a long time ago could unconsciously come back into our minds, and our brains would easily recognise we’ve heard or read of it before. That incident made me go back to take the book to read again.

I am still reading it and will definitely finish reading it, even though I keep stopping halfway to do other things, but it’s always kept at a close range so I would always see it and remember to keep to the goal of finishing it.

The book talks about how relationships and marriage are supposed to work for believers, and everything in there is something I believe everyone, especially those who believe in God and want to have a successful relationship and marriage journey, should read.

The book contains lots of Bible verses that relate to marriage and how to navigate through every step of the journey. This is a beautiful book that I would recommend to anyone, especially ladies who want to have their foundation laid on Christ and nothing else.

The book explains the origin of marriage and how it was instituted by God Himself, and since He made marriage for man and woman, He must be the master planner and helper in such a marriage. Otherwise, one would have to go through hell in their homes, which would eventually be destroyed if they don’t quickly bring God into their homes.

No home can stand without God being involved in it because no standard can work successfully except for God’s.

You might want to get this book too if you are someone who loves reading about relationships and marriages, and trust me, this is something I can read all over again.
