RE: Teacher should know to draw the line

Is it okay for a teacher to discipline outside of school? Just imagine a student misbehaving with others, and the location is very far from the school or after school hours. In such a case, should the teacher discipline the student?

I think it depends on the relationship between the teacher and student. For some teachers, they have built a strong relationship with students that even when outside and they misbehaved, they are disciplined but yes, such a teacher should understand discipline is different and the way you’d discipline a young student can be different from someone who is already matured enough.

I won't mind if the teacher has a good relationship with me, and I will not misbehave in front of the teacher. But again, my teacher has no right to interfere in my personal affairs. I don't allow my parents in such a case, teacher is nothing to me compared to my parents. How can I allow it even if I respect the teachers? I have my principles.

Yes, everyone has their principles and should be respected.
