The unintended consequences of capping earnings

(edited)

Looking at the situation of the economy now, everyone is struggling to survive, and even the rich are complaining; though the situation is not that bad to them, they are feeling it. I am sure most rich people are not happy with the current situation of society.

If there is a law that reduces people's earnings and then limits how rich people can get, then what do we gain after working so hard to be rich?

I wonder how the world will look if there are certain limits to how someone can earn, meaning there is a limit to how rich someone can get.

It would be a good thing if everyone had money to take care of themselves; the world would be a better place, but we can't have a perfect world no matter how much we try. Not everyone is putting proper effort into work; there are even the lazy ones who love to do nothing, and we expect these people to be on the same level as those who are laboring day and night to make their financial lives better.

Equal earnings can never be the case except if everyone will be putting the same effort and resources to work, which is impossible.

I am sure that no matter how much the government enforces such a rule in this society, a lot of people will not abide by it because they would feel like they can't be on the same level as others. Well, I wouldn't blame them because I can't work so hard and someone is expecting that we earn the same amount of money just because of one law.

Such rules will affect the rich because they are always working effortlessly to multiply their money. Many average people will definitely be affected too because they are doing a lot to make more money just to improve their lifestyle. Regardless of who is affected, the impact of the law will be the same for everyone since we will lose the motivation to work as we should.

Nobody will be dedicated to their work, and it wouldn't make any sense as productivity across different organizations will drop.

Even thoughI am not okay with the current situation of society and feel bad whenever I see people suffering or struggling in life, I still can't support such a system because it would restrict a lot of people to one position in life. Everyone deserves to earn based on the effort and resources they are putting into their job, so the current system remains the best option for us.

I wouldn't support such a system if it became law because I am working so hard as well, and I wouldn't be happy if, at the end of my hard work, I couldn't earn more than those who aren't working as much as I am doing.

A lot of people's finances will remain stagnant, and how will bigger families even cope when they earn the same as smaller families? I don't see the law working for us, and it's best such doesn't even spill out of the government's mouth.

I think there is no reason why people should be restricted to earning a certain amount. Instead, people should be encouraged to learn a skill that will put them on the edge of earning more.
Basically, the more people earn, the better for government in an egalitarian state where taxation is done and tax payers money is used for the right purposes.

Yeah, that is just the truth because reducing people's earnings and putting limits on people's money is as good as suppressing them from growing in life; everyone's dream is to become great, so why capping earnings?

We have freedom to live, why shouldn't we have freedom to earn?
