What I love most about Christmas

Edited with addtex app

Introduction

Compliment of the season fellow hivers. This is the season most of us have been planning and waiting for and by God's infinite mercy, we are alive to celebrate yet another Christmas.

Everyone has one thing they love about Christmas. It could be exchange of gifts, vacation, visitation, excess foods, cultural diffusion display or even rest.

Oh Christmas!

I have few things I love about Christmas which is why I always look forward to see each year's celebration in good health.

  • Carols: I never want to miss any carol whenever I'm free because of the beautiful carol songs and the different presentations by individuals and groups.
I remember when I was still in school, I used to sing a special song during carols each time I returned home for vacation.

  • Cultural dance: this is one of the season whereby most people return home to spend some time with families and as a custom, every Christmas we observe cultural dance and display and I don't ever miss any even when I'm under the weather, I sit by the side to enjoy the view.

  • Eggon carnival: this is an annual carnival that is designated to hold only during Christmas season due to people's different works of life as December is mostly when people get little vacation or leave to stay with families.

  • Family gathering: I get to see all my siblings and their families during this season because my father made it a tradition to always bless his kids and grandkids at this season. No one wants to turn the old man down so even if it's just for a day, everyone must converge at home to honour the old man and then we get to see each other and rekindle our love though we argue too but everyone will return happy.

  • Children Christmas funfair: Every 25th my community host children Christmas funfair with series of activities and fun for kids and sometimes for adults where prizes are won. I have always won a prize each year I participate though I am one of the organisers.
Don't get me wrong oo 😄. The activity I always win isn't coming from us but from the audience so don't think I am cheating 😄😄

  • Different traditional display in church: Every Christmas the church allows every tribe to display their traditional food, attires and dance steps in church to the glory of God.
That makes the church lively to the extent that members will crave for more but the church has to close for the preparation of individual dance in respectful venues as letters will be distributed to churches for traditional dance as I mentioned above.

Conclusion

Tell me why I shouldn't always look forward to this greet historical and fun-filled day?
I am praying and eagerly looking forward to Sunday though carols have started and I didn't miss any and we will round up on Christmas day.
