Hi fellas, it's good to see you again.
When I saw this topic my mind quickly travelled back to 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. Though my town wasn't totally lockdown but it wasn't easy.
A lot of people lost their means of livelihood, businesses crumbled and many lost their jobs. I haven't even mentioned those that were deceased as a result of that.
Sincerely speaking, I wouldn't want the world to experience such again but if it comes, we will survive and conquer as surely as the Lord lives.
However if the world were to go into another sudden lockdown which we are not praying so, then God will provide solution as always.
Hmmm, before I go further I want to appreciate God for his faithfulness. Though we are not praying for another lockdown but as it stands I can survive a year plus before I could come outside to get food or even work.
Reason is that by God's grace, my family has stuck the house with reasonable amount of foodstuffs as it has always been the culture in my house which most are preserved with chemicals to repel away destructive insects and when the rainy season comes, my compound is large enough for farming and by God's grace have good harvest of another food.
Even before rainy season, we normally have a small irrigation garden for our various vegetables.
Though I am not much of a farmer, in fact you will prefer I stay home when I follow you to the farm so I believe my family will handle the farm work while I take care of the kitchen as usual.
Notwithstanding when impromptu lockdown comes, we will surely cut down our food consumption to avoid unknown circumstances that we may run out of food.
As for my work (a seamstress), I doubt if people will sew new clothes as everyone will be indoors and fashion will also be shut down for that period. Even if customers bring materials for sewing, to get tailoring material will not be that easy as shops will be under lock and key.
Both planned and impromptu lockdown are not something we should experience again though I wasn't really affected during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown but I wouldn't want people to pass through that hardship again.
I just pray and hope we don't experience such again in Jesus.
With all these, there wouldn't be any difficulties for you and your family to cope at all. It seems your family has a plan B installed in your compound incase of emergency lockdown...una get irrigation farm at home, that's superb
