When body positivity goes too far

Hello Everyone,
We can all agree we only have one life and our body play a very important part of life.

Just imagine an unhealthy body, every day you treat illness and diseases, I know no body wants that right? I also understand the idea of body positivity is to make people stop bullying and shaming people because of Thier sizes and how they express themselves out because of it,a movement to make people accept themselves for who they are and stop living according to some people's preference, but let's be realistic people are turning the ideology into something darker.
Just like I was saying, that the idea of Body positivity has taken a strange turn. What started as a movement to promote self-acceptance and challenge unrealistic beauty standards has turned into something very toxic. These days people are shamed for staying fit: having abs or toned arms, as if having a fit body is a crime. I remember The last time I posted on my X(formerly twitter), I made a video of myself doing some callisthenics, the videos was teaching about staying fit, but I see some negative comments and remarks saying people with six-pack abs don't have work to do that why I keep posting videos of people staying fit, others will say **‘promoting unattainable beauty standards’** while others are praised for flaunting their overly fat body.

You see I get it, body positivity was about embracing all body types and fighting against the notion that you need to look a certain way to be worthy. But now, it feels like we’re being told to love our bodies no matter what, even if that means ignoring our health.
I will keep saying it even if people hate me for it, there Is no two ways about it: Oversized people are not healthy.**

In this modern world, there are some people (they call themselves woke people) they believes Exercise and healthy habits are **‘toxic’** just because some people might feel inadequate if they can’t achieve the same results. I have seen people mocked for wanting to lose weight or build muscle, as if their desire to be healthier is somehow less valid.
Let us be real here, taking care of our bodies isn’t just about aesthetic or how we look; it’s about health. Exercise is not just about looking good; it is about feeling good and staying healthy. Eating well is not just about fitting into a certain size or shape; it is about nourishing our bodies. I’m not saying we should all strive for a certain body type or judge ourselves based on how we look. But we really need to find a balance? Can’t we love our bodies while still striving to be healthier and stronger?

Personally too I struggled with body image issues myself. I want to look like those Six packs muscular guys I see most of the time In Movies, I think that was a lot of years ago, I felt like I wasn’t good enough because I just didn’t fit the ‘ideal’ body type. But through discipline, exercise, and self-reflection, I’ve learned to love my body while still working towards health goals. It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress. While I was researching about the topic and I saw some oversized people pushing the Body positivity cause and taking it as excuse to not live healthier, but the sad part about all this is that most of those overweight people have passed away due to some illness majorly because of their body size.

In conclusion: body positivity is about giving people the freedom to love themselves, not about dictating how they should feel or what they should strive for. We should always promote the message that says, ‘You are worthy, regardless of your size or shape, and important one is taking care of your body.
