Hello Everyone,
Ever Since then I think Nigerian has been facing challenges such as: Electoral Malpractices, where we see a Widespread irregularities, violence, and voter manipulation have affected the credibility of elections.
Many time our politicians, pay off thugs to steal ballot boxes, some of them uses under aged voters, some of the machines used for voting are intentionally made not to work properly, the voting process are usually manipulated to suit the corrupt politicians taste.
For me I totally not satisfied with this democratic rule in Nigeria,
Since i was born till now, Nigerian has been hoping for positive change but most of all the changes I ever witnessed was negative one, like a frying pan to fire kinda thing or situation.
In my own opinion, I think during the military regime, there were still better governance than now. Although I will commend late president Musa Yar Adua.
It was only during his time Nigerians truly enjoyed good governance.
Another big issue with democratic rule in Nigeria is Corruption.
Trust me when I say Corruption has really eaten deep into the roots of Democracy in Nigeria.
This remains a significant obstacle to good governance and development.
All through the cause of the year, there were a lot of corrupt practices,
Animals stealing funds from secure government house, hilarious stuff like snakes swallowing millions of Money, politicians fainting whenever they are asked for accountability in office, embezzlement of public funds
Another set back is our Electoral commission. In Nigeria here we have Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary have struggled to function effectively.
Many a time the government manipulates figures and use it for their advantage, only to settle INEC officials, it's really a very painful thing.
In all honesty, I would still prefer us trying a military rule back, I know a lot of people From Nigeria may have a contrary view on that, but I actually have my reason.
Looking at Nigeria for Now, one of the most tested form of Governance that I think actually worked then is the Military Regimes, security of the country was working, economy was in perfect condition, infrastructure was well catered for, there is Accountability from everyone.
In fact a shocking revelation was that one of the most dreaded Military commander then, his Name is General Sanni Abacha, during his time things were actually working, No Joke you can actually search it up.
Just Take a practical example of General Ibrahim Taore of Burkina Faso, the young Military commander has finally removed every roots of oppressors from the country (He was able to expel the French strong holds from his country, strengthen his country by becoming pro-russia and he was able to launch some working economic reforms, in fact all form of Insurgency in Burkina Faso was contained and he neutralised every jihadist from his country.
People criticise him, some praise him, regardless of what people think, in my own opinion I think this is the type of Leadership Nigeria Needs now.

Do have a lovely week❤️
