You see gender equality or equity; it's one topic I don't like discussing due to how controversial it's been. The last time I did that with a group of guys and ladies, the argument got heated up, and I gave up. So I am just going to say simple things concerning the topic of discussion as the prompt demands.
Firstly, we are all created equally, and it just makes more sense that everyone receives fair treatment regardless of our genders. We have heard people say that women are the weaker vessels while men are created to be so much stronger. That's right, but hellooo, can everyone just be given their due? Back in those days, many decades ago, only our men went out to work and bring food to the table, while women stayed back at home as homemakers, looking after the kids and taking care of their husbands. There was still a time that sensitive roles weren't given to women, but those eras are changing.
However, when it comes to gender equity, it's about being fair in how we treat everyone, finding balance without allowing anyone to suffer because of their gender. Over the years, the society had talked more on women and how we should be considered first, given top priorities in certain situations because we are weaker vessels, and this has made most men suffer at some points because they answer the name "man."
Men shouldn't suffer for being men; it's fair to find a balance in today's society. You will enter public transport sometimes, and they say, "He is a man; he can stand while the lady sits down." Excuse me, that man is also a human that craves comfort.
Let's talk about marriage. What if I earn much more than my husband monthly, but because he is the head, I will simply fold my hands and allow him to foot the whole family bill because he is the man of the house? Just let there be fairness. We can do this; it doesn't matter the label we bear, whether man or woman. A man shouldn't also allow his wife to overwork herself with chores because she is the woman and should oversee things at home while you press your phone non stop during your free time . Our gender doesn't define the kind of work we should do; it is fair enough that we create a balance. We are all humans that can do things equally.
How about some firms underpaying my gender because they are women while they do the same job? I personally find this weird, because I have practically experienced this in the past, and when I discovered that the same guy I work with earns #10,000 more than me, I didn't hesitate to approach the director of the firm to fix the cheating that year. Just let there be fairness regardless of one's gender, and everyone will thrive happily.
Finally, let's go for a balanced world, support each other, and everyone becomes a winner.

Been debating whether to reply. Your last statement shouldn't draw any fire as it has no teeth or challenge. And that is fine, not every post needs to start a fight. I have watched this old mudball for more decades than I would have guessed 60 yrs ago when I was a young man. The conclusions I get is until certain elements in our mob of hooman beans weaken to the point they can't influence and dictate behaviour for the rest of us, we will be cursed with these tropes. The power wielded by folks who hide behind some divine mandate still effects a lot of ppl through direct influence or indirect policy.
Yes ooo thin are gradually changing now on like before, no one is more than another just that we need to help each other in which ever way either of us is lacking
Of course, supporting each other is the way to go
Man and woman both are beautiful creatures of the nature, they both are responsible for the balance. Their are many things that a woman can only handle and man can not and vice versa. No one is superior every one has his own responsibilities.
Exactly ...no one is superior and I hope the society gets to understand this and act accordingly
Let everything be fair, nobody should be treated less or more than the other gender
Loud it oo
Lol
I also don’t like talking about this topic because these days everybody seems to have a point and when you say something, they either make you feel stupid, or it becomes an issue. Suffering does not have to be passed down to someone just because society has always required it from their gender. Whatever anybody can do to help the other, it should be done. Gender aside, in marriage, both parties should compliment each other and not leave a particular task for the other when it’s evident that that person isn’t equipped at that moment
That's a good viewpoint from u as well...if people can do all these, then what are we talking about , but humans will always be human
I also think it's good to maintain gender equality, but I won't mind also for gender equity also. In both cases, the output is good as long as it can be balanced. If we lose balance, nothing will work.

Man + woman = a balanced equation. But what’s affecting us is a lack of understanding, we don’t want to accept the truth of this equation.
Of course...lack of understanding is our real problem with this topic of discussion
Exactly ma.
