Some years back, everything was so peaceful; in fact, I could remember when I was still a child how we used to do it with our neighbors, eat together, and play together. Sometimes they come to sleep in our house, and we do the same. They do not need to wait for my parents before I get disciplined if I do something wrong.
There is this one particular man I remember very well; he loves everywhere neat and tidy, so every morning he wakes us to clean the house, which we have to do. But years pass, everything starts changing, and now there's no more discipline, no more humanity; everyone is just doing what they like to do. That now brings us to today's question: if I had the power to bring something that had gone extinct back, what would it be?

I will bring back the way of life back then. I honestly believe the way of life has gone to extinction, because in the era we are in now, a lot of things are going on that we need to talk about. I would like to start from discipline. We are now in the era of Gen Z, and I'm millennials, which means I've lived some life and seen some things change a lot. Back then there were a lot of things that happened then but don't used to happen now. Then the society takes care of everything, and the neighbors take care of things even before the parents come back, given, for example, if you must go out, you must dress decently; the fact that you aren't doing that will result in you being disciplined by anyone. And when your parents come back, they do nothing but support the person that disciplined you.
There is no existence of a phone yet; I mean, it's not even easy to access back then, so you have to do extra work to get a phone. And there is nothing like too much technology. Unlike now, there is a lot of discipline and humanity; we all respect the elders even when they are wrong. Meanwhile, the unity is there. I could remember my childhood very well; back then I used to play with everyone who was around. I remembered how simple life is.
But now, there is no discipline again, especially in this Gen Z era; they do and undo. Now that everyone has access to phones, they misuse them and use them for something wrong. Back then, if we were eating with our parents, we wouldn't even talk while eating, but you see these Gen z, they will receive calls when eating, and they don't even have respect.

Furthermore, hardly will you see someone that will allow his or her child to play with the neighbors, and this is because of the bad things that happen around you. You dare not take food from your neighbors because who knows, maybe it has been poisoned. No unity among people again; you must be careful of how you talk because it might be used against you.
If anyone disciplines any child, they will be dragged online or be dealt with by the police or even the military; respect and humanity have been lost in the society. Lastly, the cost of living has wanted to take the living itself. I remembered how we managed everything we have, and it will still remain.
But you see now, everything is fake. We consume all fake products; even the food we eat is fake. Unlike before, you don't need skin care because everything you eat is fresh food. I remembered the grandma I lived with during my college days; she was always looking good at her age. Everything we consume is so fresh.
But in this era we are, all the food we eat is poisoned in one way or another, and people get sick every single day, and yet they are not ready to change, in as they are making money out of it. In summary, if I'm ever going to bring anything back, it's the way of life.
