Hurry!!! Happy one-year anniversary to the Hive Learner Community. It's already a year since the birth of this wonderful community.
Top Five of the Year!
The past year has been quite a year for me, for my fellow writers and their community at large. A year that I got to read a lot of good and works of fellow writers on this space, I also got to learn a lot from the works and I got to read from a lot of individuals here.
It really has been a great year for me here, and I can say it to anyone's face that I do love it here, reading and also dropping my works here too.
Anytime I get to see a new featured topic I am to write on, it gives me joy, goosebumps, butterflies in my bellies and it gets to drive me down the road of my memory lane. Sometimes when I see a topic I'm writing on, I pause and reminisce about the moments I lived through that memory, the joy and anxiety that comes with me typing it is on another level.
When I do want to relive the moments but by bit, I don't use phone to write them down, rather I use my pen and paper, so that I get to feel every bit of the moment and when I get to type my handwritten work again, that's the climax of it all, because I get to smile with the joy that comes with it and feel the pain that comes with the sad memories.
In the past year, I got to relive memories while I wrote on a featured topic and I got my favorites amongst them. I would gladly share them with you all today.
Taking the number fifth spot is Week 33's featured topic "That One Thing Do, I Don't ".
Well this one was quite personal for me, because once again I got to tell that I'm not a regular type of person and I really don't mind not doing what others do to feel among, and I got to love the peace of being that lone ranger that's always happy with making one's personal choices.
Peer pressure and buying trendy clothes are just not really my thing, I got to highlight them and say a few things about them.
Taking the number fourth spot is "Something I Learnt And Mastered Without Being Tutored. This is one of my favourites because I connected with it and relived my memory of me writing my first ever poem at fifteen, and it actually something I did mastered on my own with no formal class attended. I got to master this passion of mine with almost no help from anyone, but by my passion and love for poems. It is something I am proud of and I can speak of.

And for the third place is "My Worst Teacher Gave Me My Best Teacher", here I saw this as an opportunity to grade my teachers. I've never been asked or given an opportunity to do so, I was really happy about this topic and it is on my third place.
My second place is a spot I reserved for the featured topic "My Hard Time Saying Sorry".
This topic really touched me when I got to read works of other writers, where I got to see the pain in their story. The one that touched me the most was the one I read about someone almost losing her life because of no one ready to apologize to each other. It touched my heart when I realized that a lot could have been prevented if apologies were made.
My top one is, drumroll please.
"The Truth I Regretted Telling", this topic was personal to me and I still get flashes of what happened that day and it's really one I'm happy about. It is my Top one because I did feel every moment of the hurt and pain that came with it.
I was punished for telling the truth, I was taught that the truth always heals and saves me from the truth but that day was different, I felt pain and was punished for saying just the truth.
It's not really ideal for me to pick a sad one as my favourite but, it is for me.
I had the same motivation to write all these, and the motivation was reliving my memories through my works and writing. Yeah, there were times I wouldn't want to write, times when typing seemed almost impossible but reliving my memories keeps me going and sharing my story is something I can never stop doing.
This is my entry for my five favourite topics, I hope you enjoyed it.
We all have different topics we enjoyed here in the hive learners community, every week interesting topics are given.
Thanks for sharing.
