I think that in the end what always matters is the happiness of the people we love. Knowing that they are happy and that they have received good news is always something very good, it makes me equally happy and honestly you can tell me later I do not care about that. Maybe I feel a little jealousy but only a little if my son tells his mother something and only later tells me, but it is a very healthy jealousy more in a joking tone and something I always say to him in a playful way.
But in the end this is what I believe that the most important thing is not when or in what order the news arrives but how much it positively impacted the lives of the people that matter to us. I myself tell my girlfriend because she is always nearby, but it may be that another person just as important receives the good news first. In the end all the people who truly matter to me will know.
