And well, we know what happens when that occurs. So can we say that the government only benefits the rich and companies? Not here. Here, everyone is being “screwed” by the government. It's mismanagement, it's incompetence, there's no escape. If everyone suffers bad consequences, who suffers the most?

The impact, obviously, is much greater on the poorest population. People who can't afford their own homes, a better quality of life, and need to work harder and harder just to support themselves and pay taxes. The poor suffer the most. A simple example is that a large part of taxes is embedded in basic necessities, where almost all of these people's income is spent, perhaps 80 or 90%. For the wealthiest, basic expenses represent a much smaller share of income, so the impact is reduced. But we can say one thing with absolute certainty: the government is very democratic when it comes to screwing everyone over.

Olha o nível que chegamos. Isso sim é eficiência: manter a população ocupada brigando entre si enquanto, no parlamento, é festa e eficiência máxima na corrupção. Mas afinal, quem é beneficiado nessa história? Os ricos ou os pobres? Ou eles pensam apenas em si?

“Ordem e progresso” é o que está escrito na nossa bandeira, e nunca vi algo ser tão ignorado quanto isso. Não existe ordem, e o progresso passa longe.
