There's nothing like a useless Law; there's always a reason for a law to be passed for people to obey.
Regardless of how we see it, it's a law that has saved so many kids from the hands of their abusive parents. Imagine being silent all because you're a child and not having any law to protect you.
I am strongly against child abuse and would never stand for it. Everyone Deserves to be heard and so do the little kids.
In Nigeria, we don't have such laws that protect us from being beaten; sometimes, the police might end up helping your parents to flog you back to your senses, hahaha. This has helped us to stay focused, straight, and grounded( just know that nobody would beat you if you do the right thing unless you're from an abusive home.)
I saw a video on the Internet where a little girl went to the store with her mom. She got angry because she wanted something, which her mum declined, so she ended up scattering the store. She brought down all the things on the shelves where her hands could reach and also opened the fridge and brought out some drinks and broke so many wine bottles. There were adults in the store, but they all decided to watch her break things because they didn't want to touch her. All they said is breathe little girl, it's okay. Trust my black aunties in the comments who just started laughing and said that would never happen in their home. Before dropping the first bottle, you'd have received a hot slap that would teleport you back to your homeland, hahaha; at least there, you won't have anyone to report to, lol.
Imagine taking your parents to court because they knocked your head hahaha, it would be too funny. Or Imagine a scenario where a girl tells her friend that she will find a way and do something bad so her mum can hit her, and she would sue her the next week all because she wants to travel, and her mum declined 😂😂😂.
I honestly think kids would be able to do anything they want and get away with everything.
Being able to take your parents to court isn't only about you, but it also creates a bad image of your parents; some might end up losing their jobs because of a minor slap that led to court. Kids would end up blackmailing their parents and go away with whatever they want. I think a world like that is messed up; I can't imagine growing up like that and being able to sue my parents for a minor knock on the head that did me good and restored my brain to a factory setting.
Like I said in my title, spare the rod and spoil the child. We're not animals, but if a horse is moving the wrong path and doing the wrong thing, without it being whipped, it would never listen to you. The same thing goes for a child: spare the rod and spoil the child.
How does a one-year-old know that what he/she is doing is wrong after a spank? You'd notice they immediately stop when you spank them, and they'd never do it again, but if you just laugh and say it's a child, they continue.
And then imagine them knowing it's wrong and because they can sue you, they just do it. A world like that is messed up.
I see so many kids online talking back to their parents and doing all manner of things all because they have the right to sue them. It's their law, and it's what works for them, but for me, such a law is a big NO!!
Thanks for reading❤️
yes, you're definitely right. Up until now memories from my childhood keep coming back to my mind as my mom hit me when I was kid. She wanted me to study, study, study and if I won't learn fast she will hit me😢
Such a world would be messed up when children know they can always sue their parents for every spanking. That's so rude too. How do the child learn? Will the court also support that parents shouldn't discipline their kids anymore? Except in cases of a child being dealt with by abusive parents, only then can the law take it up.
Exactly my thoughts , I'm glad you agree with me
