Safety Shouldn’t Cost Us Our Privacy Rights

I laughed when I first saw this prompt, and it was a reason to not write on it but I thought it'd be nice to share my thought anyways. I'm not going to bad talk my country, I mean, I'll try my best not to but this prompt is giving me all the triggers to actually. It's one thing to have the privacy right, it's another to use it, it's a big deal to give it up.

I don't know about other countries but this country I come from, we have more people who don't use their rights more than those who really do and I mean the rights that are not spoken enough of. But thankfully, I believe most of us in this country have our rights to privacy and have been exercising it well enough, Let's give that up?

I know a lot of things are threatening one's safety especially in my country and one of them is the people in Government too, yes, they are a threat to our safety and I know you'd be wondering how. I can't even explain exactly how but people who don't say anything when their citizens are killed unjustly definitely don't want the good of citizens.

Maybe if I was a citizen of a well developed country, I won't need to give up my privacy rights to be protected because the Government will make sure of safety in the country as much as possible. Thankfully, there are jobs and devices that can make that easy and my rights would not need to play any role in making it a possibility.

But if it's my country where safety is a personal decision to survive and not the Government's, giving up my privacy rights will be like actually eliminating my only safety net which is a very dangerous game to play. Knowing my country, I'll be risking more when I give up my right than when I choose not to, I'd rather not share why.

I don't even want to imagine being watched close by in this country of mine, it's not a safety move at all. We hear of people who get kidnapped everyday, some are killed and others lose important properties all because some other person knew their whereabouts. Let's say they even gave their rights up, this is what happens.

From all I know about my Government responding to life threatening situations, anyone who is being watched by the Government, there is no guarantee that the Government will be on time to save the person or people. They will have all the excuse to put you in more risk and even try to extort you to be saved, nothing is hardly free.

So the question, will it be worth it to trade my privacy for the security of life from my Government? It's a big NO. My security of life is in God's hand while I take important precautions on my end to stay safe. The last thing I'd do is give up my rights to a Government that doesn't care.

That line tells it all

The country who sells out their citizens' safety just to enrich themselves.
Finding safety has been the greatest struggle for decades now. God help us
