Not Every Viral Moment Is Worth the Cost

It took me time to finally share my bits on the prompt about going viral because I've never really bothered to watch out for the challenging things people do so they could go viral. If I were to decide and skip any prompt for this week, it would be this prompt because I really can not relate to how challenging or risky it is to go viral.

But I'll come from the angle of, if I'd take on a challenge that's risky for me, regardless of the reward at stake. I am not the kind that would want to go viral for the wrong reasons or what doesn't show who I really am so challenges that would not help me in being myself, I'll pass it up.

Content creators are doing a whole lot to stay on top, I've seen quite a number who go to extreme length to go viral. Personally, I don't see how it makes sense to do all that for the fame but I know it's because I don't see the need for it. We do all we can when we have a need for something, it's same for them who wants fame.

I've seen countless viral challenges that were too challenging but people did it anyways, because they wanted the fame that comes with it. So to them, it's a risk worth taking but these challenges and risk should come with warning to inform the creators what they are getting themselves into.

Most of the challenges I've seen, especially on Tiktok, don't have monetary rewards unless a sponsor comes through a viral video of the challenge. Only fame is promised for these challenges and many still do it because the fame is what they want to keep posting and hopefully gain sponsors from around when they go viral.

So many lives have changed for the better because of one viral video of them doing something either unusual, funny or did a challenge better than others. It's surprising how much one's life can change with just putting oneself out there. I believe there are no reward that can beat such a life changing experience.

But if a challenge that could possibly take one's life is up, even though there will be people willing to do it, no reward and even fame can measure up to that. But that is only how I see it because even the most foolish ideas as challenges, there are people who still take it up because they do prioritise the rewards over their personalities.

I don't have much to say but I don't think only the rewards or the level of rewards is enough reason to take up just any challenge, especially when it's extreme or too risky. But it still goes down to personal choices because whatever happens, there will always be people who would do just anything for a chance to change their lives which I have nothing against but I won't do personally.
