Moving Forward: Kind Words, Open Minds, and Second Chances

If there is one thing humans are bound to do, it is making mistakes because right from time, we've never been perfect and we can only keep striving to be perfect. And one thing I have learnt directly from my life and those closest to me, life has phases where the mistakes differ from another.

Today, we could have so much figured out and the next, we are struggling with what to do with something another have it so easy to figure out. I believe perspectives, experiences and even the environment one lives in influences beliefs and opinions so it's definitely going to clash others.

But what we can not excuse totally is one intentionally saying terrible things by mouth for whatever reason they might have. Even the Bible was so clear on being mindful of what you say because your words are powerful to destroy or make you, so it's not strange when that happens.

The sad thing is, we know words have consequences but somehow, we can't put a control over our mouth when we say some things. We should understand that even though our opinions may differ, saying or sharing them with others shouldn't be done by terrible words.

We can all air our views from our opinions and keep in mind that every other person has their own backgrounds, environments that has influenced their own opinions. If we understand this, we would have less trouble dealing with someone who have said terrible things to others.

The Bible has stated clearly that how you use your words would have consequences, whether good or bad. But as humans, we are made to understand that there is a virtue called forgiveness especially when the person has shown remorse for their past mistakes or beliefs.

I believe we would miss out on a great discoveries, talents or transformations if every person who have said terrible things in the past are not forgiven. I mean, it's in the past already and so long the person doesn't hold such opinion again, another chance could be given to such.

I know it's a hard to forget the past but who we are today is what matters more than who we were yesterday, and tomorrow nobody knows. If more people will be more positive with their opinions, and more people be more forgiven for the ones said terribly, we would appreciate today.

I mean, past thoughts are past thoughts for a reason. Why let all that spoil the greatness of today and make such person continue living in dispair of what they know they really messed up. Let bygones be bygones, there's more to explore.
