Learning, Adapting, and Thriving Against the Odds

I've read the prompt more times than I can say, it's a very rare kind of imagination the prompt is suggesting to my brain so I struggle to think of how exactly it would be like to be in such a situation... "Find myself in a strange land with no money or help", it does sounds like a bad dream.

All my life, I've always been in a place where I know someone or I have money and a random help from someone I don't know. I remember my first days in the university where I knew nobody, but I had enough money to find myself a place to stay and food to eat until I began to have friends.

So this prompt will only get an imaginary response, as it should be. Because I don't pray for such an experience to happen to me, especially the part of "not having money". It's understandable when people don't get help but it's frustrating when they can't help themselves.

So to respond to the prompt directly, I'll start by saying, humans are made to survive and thrive as they live. It doesn't matter where they are, the brain tend to understand the environment to adapt. But among these humans, there are those who are strong willed and those who are weak.

Since I've never been in such a situation, I can't tell if I'm in the strong willed human category but I do know I'm not weak by nature. I have many reasons to do life and do it well. So if I find myself in a strange land with no means for survival except my skills and talents, I'll still live.

Looking at it from how I was able to make friends and function well as a student in a strange land, I would also start in this strange land by understanding the kind of people in the land, their rules and way of life. That way, I can easily blend in and beg for assistance for the first days there.

So long it's not a dangerous strange land, I believe I'll find a space to occupy whether with my talent, skill or simply just being human towards my fellow human. I could even take up the role of being a servant until I find my footing around and be functional on my own in the land.

I like the idea I read in a response, getting close to the children of the strange land to gain much easier acceptance from the people. I'm good with kids even though it could get tiring at some point but when it's about my survival, I can do that with much vigor and win the people over that way.

It might take a long while and it might take a very short while for me to become a functioning member of the strange land but one thing I am sure of is, I will try all possible and available legal means to become one. I'm a lovable human too, they would have no choice but to love me lol.
