I saw the prompt and I thought I'd have little or nothing to share about it because if there is anything I'm not so updated with is, about my Government except the ones that I just couldn't escape on social media or when I watch the news by chance. It's not that I don't appreciate the country I'm in, I'm just better off not curious.
On days I try to be curious, I begin to wonder how living must have been for people before the democracy era. I never experienced any other Governance model aside the democratic kind so I can't say for such which would be better but from a movie I saw, I think I have a good idea of what a one person government looks like to the citizens.
Different countries with their different ways of carrying out a particular kind of Governance, I can say much for my country but even the much I know is little to share. In any case, I'll share my thought on the prompt from the perspective that I have an idea of a dictatorship Governance. Just one man deciding for a whole nation, just a man.
From the picture the movie painted about dictatorship, where one man took matters into his hand and decided for millions of people, I kept being grateful I never came under such Governance. Thinking about it now, the Bible had instances of kings ruling over thousands from their thrones, deciding what's good for everyone.
Wisdom was needed and even King Solomon asked for God's wisdom which made his rule easier but one thing I learnt from all that, one man can't do it alone. There has to be guidance, processes of knowing what the people really need and implementing the right laws for a good Governance. It's why I think democracy is better.
I know this response will appear very one sided because I've only experienced the democracy model of Governance as I was born into it but what I know much is, even though it's a Government of, by and for the people, it also means it's a Government that can go wrong because of her people, and not just their leaders.
One of the many reasons I don't get curious about what's happening in my country's Governing is, I've learnt that people just keep blaming the leaders when things go wrong. They forget that it's a Government of the people, by the people and for the people, they forget their rights and roles they have to play, not to point fingers.
I think Democracy is the best answer for my country but the way about it needs a lot of modifications and better options. It has been of better help for the country since it's independence day but things can not always be great and somehow it gets worse, we have ourselves to blame, and not just the Government.
It hasn't been all rosy for our country since the democratic era but I don't see how it would have been better under any other governance model if the people are still the way they are. The focus should be on how to make democracy work for the people as it was created by the people.

Well, it helps to understand that things could be much worse for us. We could actually be under a cruel strict dictatorship and we think life is hard now, I wonder what north Koreans are currently facing.
Omo! I've actually wondered about the same thing, it's definitely going to be very different there.
Huhm.... I love this💯
And as you rightly said, the government aren't just the problem, we are also are a part of it. If the people don't change, I doubt there's a way the system would, cause at the end of the day it's another set of unchanged people that would be voted into power.
Thanks for sharing.
💯💗💯
That's just it, we continue to hope that the government change while the people do same.
Yea ma'am..
You are right there also and also even if we play our roles the government would
Still let us know they are in power
True.
Democracy is a good sytemof government and we will enjoy its many benefits if only we can stand as one and make out demands clear enough.
That is it, we are failing to make use of what we have and use it well.
That's true
If only our people will throw away greed and stand for what is right
This Governance would be better.
