Gone But Not Forgotten: Is A Revival Possible?

So many things, moments, people and events in the past have long gone and forgotten by so many today but there are still some of us who remembers them because of how much we valued those times when we lived them. The world is changing to a greater living space which is good but some important things are neglected.

A lot of times, I just try to imagine how people of old lived in the "before technology era" because I honestly can't imagine living without the ease that technology has brought to us. But people did live comfortably and even happily without it but then, they had never experienced what it feels like to live in an era that makes living so much easier.

Sadly, some activities that promotes communal, loving and united living among humanity has gone with the era of technology taking over. People now regard their fellow people as nothing, even among family members causing pains, hurt and even death to themselves for the sake of material things that will perish at the end of time.

I never experienced the times of having an older person sit us as kids to tell us stories but I witnessed a few that happened and I was quite close with my grandma growing up to understand how different life was then for growing kids compared to now. Children nowadays don't even value little words from parents, always on phone.

Of course, there are children who are still being well trained thanks to the kind of parents they have who prioritize how their children turn out in the society to making money that will never end. It's great to make money but if at the expense of having a well trained child and causing havoc in the world, it isn't worth it and this should change.

Recently, I was in a class where women who are dreaming to become mothers and already mothers were taught the importance of child upbringing in their roles as mothers. A lot has changed in the world today and that includes how mothers are neglecting their roles in the lives of their children, bringing up bad influences.

Can we go back to the times where we had well trained children? Children who are smart, intelligent and hardworking all at the same time. Now, we mostly have the smart kids who use big phones and use their smartness to trick their parents, being mischievous. Only a few children are being raised right by their parents nowadays.

I can still remember how strict parents were to their kids in order to make sure they are on the right path, it was quite intense for some homes but that method has helped bring up respectful people we have today. Sadly, it isn't being passed on. Now, we are having more stubborn kids who select the words they listen to from their parents.

A revival is possible but it will be very difficult to happen because the growing technology isn't going to make things easy. If I had the power, I would make every parents understand their obligations towards their children and make our children of nowadays do better at being good to their parents and the society over letting so much of technology take away their moral growth.
