Every Era Has Flaws, But This One Feels Right

When I saw the prompt, I thought up something out of fun. When we talk about era, I think of all the eras that has lived since the world began and that begins from Adam and eve era to Abraham to Moses to Jesus christ era before civilization era and then technology era, it's been a long one.

And the whole point of this is, there was no era that wasn't without it's ups and downs. Humans lived in all these eras and humans are no perfect beings, they will always make mistakes, do the wrong things that will pass on as history. There was even eras with wars and slavery unlike now.

It's a crazy world indeed, we can't have the good and not have the bad from it as well, we just choose our bad and live about it. So the question asking if we are living the best era, my answer is a very simple one and it is, Yes we are. I mean, are there other era we could choose from to live?

Let's be honest, we are tempted to compare to past times because there are histories and stories about how that time was. Luckily for some alive today, they experienced it first hand and tell the story but if those were not available, we won't be where we are today and there would be no need to make comparison between eras.

I honestly can not imagine living in a world of no technology (the past before advancement in technology) and the reason is clear, I've never lived in those times. Even some who were opportune to live in both era, they would agree that life is more easier today than before. Of course, there are also downsides just like before.

No era is free of downsides, moments that people would wish they could go back to an era that has passed. What we should be focused more on is how to make our era work more in our favour than against us. Technology has come to stay and the sooner we accept it, not compare with other era and grow with it, the better for us.

So yeah, you can guess that I am happy and grateful to be born in this era. It was God's perfect plan so I won't dare question that. Every era comes with it's own challenges and best parts, we just need to balance up in our individual lives and try not to let ourselves be controlled by the technology we created with our own brains.

Of course, there is no harm in picturing my life in the days of my ancestors, how closely I am to nature than I am today. That is one beautiful aspect of the past I love so much but it can be done in this age and time too so it still goes down what we do with our present era because there is no going back into another era anyways.
