The Anonymous Growth...

The space we are into these days, is a digital world and the life itself, is full with new innovation. Everyone who stay in this space or in this digital world, have a way of getting being know to the general population and the general society. But, in some situations we ask ourselves, it is possible to be in the digital world, and you will not be known? Can it be possible to stay anonymous? This is a question that always show up everyday, and it is sometimes concerning, because as far as people can be in this digital world and be known, over the state, country, and international. Therefore, there are still people who can stay in this digital world and maintain anonymous.

It is very difficult to stay anonymous, couple with the fact that, 80% of the activities we do in the world today are computerized, most of our information, can be accessed, just with a click of the internet. However you can be known within your locality, but pretend and go anonymous, in the social world.

Let's think about this.. Think of the person in a small town, sharing their poetry online without fear of local gossip. The teenager questioning their identity, finding community in a forum before they can tell their family. The woman escaping abuse, carefully building a new support network without a traceable profile. For them, anonymity isn’t about hiding to cause harm; it’s about creating a safe distance to be their truest self, to heal, or to explore.

So, the way we see the matter of Being anonymous, might be different from others, and the reasons as well.

However, there are some Questions that I have been asking, since I saw this prompt topic, and I have tried to arrange them and provide a yes and no answer. So, can you be a ghost? No. The machines and the platforms (social media and digital life) usually know. But can you create a private room in the noisy global house of the internet? Can you speak without your offline world listening in? Yes. That’s the real, human goal. It’s not total invisibility. It’s the precious right to sometimes speak without your name, your face, or your past getting the first word.

Some persons have made millions and billions from the internet without disclosing their real identity. When I say, disclosure of real identity, I meant to the social media world. Even here on Hive, there are people and big whale who don't talk in meetings, they only type and send messages, run their project and make their money, while some don't even attend meetings but carry out their project and activities effectively. But we don't know their real name, age, country, or even their locality.

It is safe to stay anonymous from the social media and the digital world, but for everything there's a good reason or a bad reason. Come to think of it, why do I want to stay anonymous? Why not allow the digital world know me, just as I'm known in my family and my locality? When you are able to answer these questions, then you can decide, what way you prefer to stay.
