Marriage Is Beyond Just Age....

Marriage is an agreement and a union between a man and a woman. Main purpose of marriages to live together and bring offsprings to living. Like started earlier, it is an agreement between two persons who understand themselves and decide to go into a life journey called marriage. It is expected to be a journey between two person who later become One. However in our generation today we often hear about problems and challenges that come along with marriage. Many persons have been divorced, Many are of age of marriage but yeah there's no husband or wife to settle down with. Many challenges are in our Society today when it comes to marriage and it keep growing and growing beyond management or control.

About 45% of the challenges we face in our Society today are linked to marriage. If you are not married you are in a relationship or courtship or what we refer to as being single. Whichever way we cannot neglect the fact that, we were born as a result of marriage, two persons coming together to met, or an agreement between two individual or more to bring an offspring to life. Evening our family we have people who are married even though we are single, we have friends who are in marriage life. Therefore, nothing about marriage is so new to us, it is something we always come across or see people who are in marriage almost everyday of our life.

Age of marriage is not the problem of marriage. Yes!!! I believe that marriage should be between two persons who understand themselves perfectly and believe they can live together because it is a life time journey. Regardless of no age requirements for marriage, marriage is not meant for everyone, at any time. It comes with a lot of challenges, obstacles and unseen battles. So I believe marriage should be for those who are mature in mind and not really mature in age. Although they say age comes with experience.

Meanwhile, as an African man, we believe in one thing when it gets to marriage, That the Man (Husband) will always be older than the Wife. Life is a free world you are free to marry someone who you are older than with about 10 years, 2, 3, 4, 5 years, depending. There are people who married those who are in their age brackets and they are living fine, than those who gave themselves, 4 years, 5 years gap of age. Like I said earlier on, marriage is all about understanding each other, when you get to understand yourself and your partner perfectly, there are things you find good going and age will not be the challenge.

I often hear people say about age as a very great Factor in marriage, permit me to say this, there are a lot of persons that are just old for nothing, or what I will call, Big for nothing. If we should make a rule that before you get married, there should be an age friends of this exact age, then what about people that have passed that age but have not been married? Marriage is not just age, I believe that marriage is beyond just age.
