This is really a straight-up question from the author I had never considered thinking about these but now that it has been brought up in today's world the question of the behavior of a child comes from the society's influence not even from the parent anymore because some child are being brought up in God fearing Ways and later end up the wrong path, some are being brought up in poverty house hold streets life and later end up doing much better than those being brought up in Christian life.

What really shapes who we become is our upbringing, our genes, or the society that surrounds us.

I think the other day I was reading through @nkemakonam89 post where by she was talking about discipline where she went to a salon to make her head an old woman was pleading to a child to get up so she could sit down and the next response was she wouldn't stand up because of her this raises some question in my head did her parents teach her to react that way or was she influence by the society, peers group, friends cause I can't seem to conclude it cause I believe in every home every parent would always teach their child to always respect an elder cause I dont see where an elder is standing and a child is sitting normally the child should give way for the elder to sit down even without asking.

I also read ahead and saw where she talked about the world presently right now isn't as before cause kids we gave birth to this time around if you dont hold them strong they tends to act wayward towards their parents I mean lets put it this way there are many parents in our current society who works so hard to raise a child teaching them about honesty and respect and yet something trigger along the way and say Nah! This is not for me my parents can't make the decision of how I wish to grow we have seen these thing happens in our society there are two things involved here:

For a child to make those decisions probably from the inherited genes from their parent their attitude can make he/she change their mind at some later points These kinds of things happen around us
Secondly, Social Media can also cause a lot of damage rather than saving cause there are so many things on social which influence a child online which the child would look up the person has a mentor

That being said another experience I also see happen around us why does those who were brought up from poverty home or rather whose parents have died and they have been the ones training themselves up or are in the worst situation called poverty even to feed later do well in life I know of someone like that it, from social experience in environment e.g they tend to be loyal respectful to receive the favor or people around them to break free from poverty in their family to be successful.

So in my own conclusion Are behavior being inherited or learned? depends on the situation which he/she finds themselves in, rather we should indulge in prayers for
our child so the work we worked so hard for training them shouldn't misled them and they shouldn't follow the wrong path cause sometimes it's not always from the parent it can be from the people around and what they indulge themselves in so it a vice-versa situation.
