The Best Era Yet.

I love topics like this, reason being that I will get to see things from different angles and read various opinions. Because sincerely, topics like this can never have a one way answer, we all can't sleep and put our heads in a direction, there's bound to be differences.

People like me that values peace, freedom, technology and all that this era has to offer cannot have the same opinion with someone who's lived or experienced war, slavery, oppressions and all. And in all honesty, our experiences, things we've seen and witnessed and often times the things we hear and allow to sink into us are what shapes our opinions and for that reason, our thinking will be different.

But then, not to beat around the bush, I would love to say that we are living in the best era. Even though my own country seems to kind of make me want to think otherwise. Our living standards, the price of things and all are nothing to write home about, even those who are ages say's it is way better before some fifty years back... Even we that are young can say it is way better some 25-20years back. Things are not this costly then, there isn't the insecurity issues we are facing now, education is good and all... But today. So, even though this era is good, my country seems to make it feel like it isn't.

Now, let's see the various things we have access to today, things that hundred years ago, they can't even Imagine it. Today, I can be in my room, in my home and be learning a skill, all I just need is a phone and Internet access, which this era offers. I can meet people and engage with anyone around the globe without leaving the comfort of my room, it wasn't like this back then, they had issues with it... If you go hundred years back now and say this things we are having access to, a lot of them will just hiss at you and tell you to better get busy with farm work and stop daydreaming...

Let's use farming as an example, I studied Agricultural Technology so I can go with this... Years ago, you would need a hoe and a Cutlass to till the soil, if you have some acres of land and you want tto plant in the next planting season, you will need to have hired lots of laborers, including yourself that will work on the land... For weeks. Today, we have tools, machines, tractors and all that will do the needful in the blink of an eye. This era has come with a lot of things that has made things a lot easier for us...talk of AI that's taking over almost every place and space today too....

Also, let's see the health sector, a lot of sickness that often kill people years ago are what people are now surviving today. Talk of the transportation sector, we can now travel any way we want, either by land, water or air, which isn't possible years back, and some of it that were possible were very slow. Today,you can call and send and receive a message anytime and anywhere, something that can take months to do years back. Today, if you message someone and it takes ren 15minutes to give you a response, you can even start thinking something else or have issues over it, back then... They wait months.

All this is not to say that this era is perfect.... There's a lot of things going on in this era that's not giving, and we would have loved or trade them for some years back, even still this era offers a lot more, talk of opportunities, ease, knowledge, and various things. Hundreds of years ago ain't perfect too, they have their issues and problems, same way this era isn't perfect as well, we have our problems... But I will still choose this era... again.
