I was at a bus park one day like that, that was how this lady called her boyfriend who I was standing next too. The phone wasn't on speaker, but based on what the guy was saying, it was obvious that the girl was accusing him of not posting her and writing epistles for her birthday.

Guess what the guy said, he told her she is not the calm type and that that was what he was busy doing inside the bus since, trying to come up with the most romantic, sweet and lovely writeup for her. I thought it was true until the guy looked at me, smiled and begged me to please on my hotspot for him, because he wants to quickly prompt chatgpt to get it done. I just smiled at him.

And in less than two minutes, this guy has posted three different pictures with three different lovely and awesome writeups to appreciate and adore her... Omo, one of it was even in Yoruba, while one as some but of pidgin in it. Sincerely, she wouldn't have thought this guy didn't write it for himself. You might want to ask me how I knew, I and the guy became friends on the journey and I got to know about it all

Now, you can see ehwo something that's supposed to take minutes of deep thinking and all, taking few seconds to do. And that's how laziness is coming in quietly, we begin to see it as easy, but then we are losing ourselves unknowingly. What's too much in writing an epistle for your lover and sending it to her, you get to add some deep details, memories and all.

Even though that is not possible with all these tools too depending on how you prompt it too. But then, I won't deny that I've used it to generate birthday wishes as well and even ask for ideas about certain things... Even still we should try as much as possible to think things through first, tasks that bring of yours, make use of it, don't just program it into delving into chatgpt every single time you need to get something done.

Because today, a lot of people can't just do without it. And like I said earlier, some can't even think for themselves. I knew it had gotten worse when I see some group of youths in my church using chatgpt to answer Sunday school questions... Omo 🤦, isn't that dangerous, that we can think for ourselves anymore, that we can try things out ourselves first before trying to make use of a tool. Isn't it bad to now see how that a tool that's supposed to come in handy once in a while now is replacing us and our brains entirely....

Technology is good, I'm making use of a phone now, and it is a product of tech, so tech is good, but we need to balance things. We should learn to try to do something for ourselves first, those tools shouldn't be our go-to immediately we are faced with a problem. Let's put our mind and brain to work, that's how creativity works and comes to be, those who created these tools make use of their thinking faculties too...
