My last outdoor day experience happened as an unplanned one, and sincerely, it was the best. It was on a saturday and I was just home alone, I felt bored kind of, and I just thought to get some quietness and fresh air, so, I wore some casual wear and a simple palm, and off I go, the only thing I tool along was my phone, cord, earopod and my power bank, that was all, funny part is, I had no destination in mind, just the road, and my curiosity.
Where I stay is kind of a very rowdy area, there are various noises here and there, I kept walking, I just needed some quietness and good fresh air. I walked past the usual buka that always has its smoke flying about, I walked past those women with wrapper around them gossiping about passersby, I walked past some guys who were arguing over the arsenal and real madrid football match, am not so much a fan of football, so I couldn't understand their very loud argument.
I just kept going, after some turns and all, I found myself by a narrow riverbank, it was one rarely visited or even talked about by people. It wasn’t glamorous, but to me it was the perfect space I wanted. I sat down under a small tree near the river bank and watched the water moved slowly and for the first time in months of not years, I listened. Not that I listened to music or voicenotes, no, I actually listened to nature, I listened to life itself, I hear the water speaks as it lives slowly, I heard what the frogs say asthey croak and it was if the they all have messages to deliver especially when that gentle wind came.
I sat there alone, but I wasn’t lonely. I just enjoyed the moment, after some time, a vrey6 young boy came around, he had a fishing hook with him He looked at me, confused at first, then I beckon on him to come, he hesitated but then he came, we talked and he discussed how he wasn't expecting anyone to be there, he hardly see anyone come by, only a few kids who do come play or come fishing, and that's rare too. He said he never knew why people hardly come by, but he's okay with it since the river gives him peace and he won't want to share that with anyone. I nodded because I felt that too.
Finally, I got up to leave and I saw I felt lighter. It was a more than a tour or outing for me, I had gone looking for fresh air and found parts of myself I didn’t know I had misplaced. On my way back, I thought I could have taken pictures, but on the other side I thought some moments are not meant to be captured but carried.
I didn’t travel out of the country, I didn’t go or stay in a luxury place, but I walked and I found peace. That experience made me knew that adventure isn't necessarily about the place or the distance, its about the presence and what one actually feels.
All pictures are mine.

I like to take walks in the evening. To just breathe in the chilly air and feel lightness from the air. Sometimes, I take in my environment. Other times, I'm moving, but I'm not seeing anybody/anything, neither am I thinking. My head and mind are clear.
I pictured the moment from the riverside and I heaved. It brought some relief to me. Thank you.
Awwwwn, this got me, I'm glad my story resonated with you. Thanks for sharing your own experience as well.
