Hello everyone, to answer this prompt;
Reunion:If you were placed in a room with childhood friends and classmates,how long do you think the gathering will be lively for?
Do you think the old camaradie will be able to reignited?
I'll start by saying that, one of the beautiful things about REUNION is that, when you meet someone you haven't seen for years, The conversation flows effortlessly into another level. And yes, the old camaradie can be reignited.
Let me share my little high school reunion experience to back up my claims. Our school reunion began online, it all started with one person who actually looked out for others on Facebook, what started little grew into something beautiful.

And now, every year, we have decided to make out time to meet and greet physically and also enjoy each other's company.
And so far, it's almost five years now, and I think it has become part of us.it has become a tradition that we look forward to every end of the year.It has now become an opportunity to reconnect, and also remind ourselves of our old memories.
Based on my experience, if you ask me how long a reunion should stay lively, I would say hours.
I mean hours of laughter, conversations and teasing. I still get called (Adiaha Mma Typist), instead of them just calling my real name, just because my Mom worked in the school and I am the first daughter.Its always funny. And when we met for the first time, a lot changed in appearance, I could barely recognize most of my classmates, but funny thing is that, almost off the them recognized me.
And one thing I discovered was that, those childhood characters never changed, I was expecting that, after some years, a lot will change, but nah..
It didn't, some of us comfortably displayed those characters and it was filled with laughter and fun. And this reminded me of one thing, people we thought may have changed can surprise us, reminding us exactly how we used to be.
Can old camaradie be rekindled?
Based on my experience, it can.
Our school reunion is an example that people can reconnect after spending years apart.it reminds me that, relationships can survive distance and time, when the people involved are willing to make efforts. And I think all of us understood the assignment, after all these years, it's not just about gathering physically to laugh, we now plan on how to be there for each other, and honestly, it's been amazing journey so far, though I understand that not all childhood closeness will amount to something meaningful, but I also believe that some are worth trying. There are some of us who are not interested in the reunion, and that's very fine. Their decisions are respected.
Will every other reunion be beautiful like ours? The answer is NO. Reason is that, people do change, and that's very okay too.
So, my final thought on this is that, my experience has taught me that time and distance cannot necessarily erase the bonds that was shared.The bonds sometime needs an opportunity to come back to life.
Thanks for stopping by!
