Growing up as a child, I hate to hear the word school, I didn't like school one bit, I didn't like homework, mathematics, and the stress of being in a four cornered room, listening to boring teachers. My mind was imaginative, I struggled with school because I love to think freely, and I don't like a structured pattern of thinking. That is why I struggled in mathematics. There are some students who can't be caged mentally, imaginatively, and understanding wise. Some aren't meant for the classrooms, but I pushed through and managed.
Now, as a grown adult, looking back all my school days, especially my primary to junior school years, I'll say I appreciate every experience learned from different people from different backgrounds, I schooled in both public and private schools and I've been to different schools growing up we had to relocate many times due to my dad's job. Each time we relocate, it's always challenging because I'm usually the new kid in a new school, so I don't really like to get attached to environments, people, peers, or even friends. Settling in another state or part of the country hasn't always been easy, but it built a tough adaptation mindset for me.
I've experienced what true friendship means outside the four walls corner of a class room, I met with teachers that genuinely showed kindness in both public and private schools, teachers that would guide and shape the future of younger generations, thinking about them is a blessed memory.

When I remembered how i almost got in trouble on Valentine's Day, I just laughed because i did something so silly back then, i got a love shaped candy, very trendy back then, then i wrote a love letter to a class crush of mine back then, my crush was excited reading it, but the English teacher confiscated everything, and fished me out, he didnt embarrassed me but gave me a stern warning and the advice of a lifetime. I still reach out to my friends from way back, which is amazing, but we are now in different parts of the world.
Honestly, school influenced my growth, choices and mindset, I had a very strong background in a private school that tought me well, then I moved to public school that still gave me an excellent academic experience. I just sucked at mathematics and didn't like homework, that's all. My educational path was balanced, I saw people from various backgrounds, and I was happy I got to see them and share their values and experiences, just the way they shared in mine.
I believe everything about life is lessons and experience, If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't choose a different path, because I don't know what possibilities it would breed, I am satisfied with my past and looking forward to awesome future with my peers. Looking at the past is a beautiful thing, but living in the past, thinking of what could have been is not a good way to go, it will only drench an individual mentally.
Focusing on the present day and appreciating the past for the lessons and values shared should be the way to truly enjoy life, but like I've always said, there is no manual for life.
