A Distracted Mind Seeks Validation, A Passionate Mind Seeks Growth

When a mind is distracted, it chases comfort and external validation, while a passionate mind chases steady growth. We scroll for hours to give ourselves a temporary comfort. Pushing hard on our skills or talent at any given time of the day will give us a chance to live a life we want in the future.

A distracted mind can't help itself but chase comfort, while a passionate mind is busy chases growth.

This year's personal affirmations for me are to he obsessed with purpose. I plan on reducing my scrolling time and game time to actually achieve more work and get better results.

In this current era we live in, there are loads of distractions than ever, infinite reels, and access to quick entertainment. An average individual spends over 2hrs on social media on a daily basis, we rob ourselves time to learn meaningful skills, building side hustles, or improving our mental health.

There are numerous ways we can be obsessed with our purpose, to start, we would need to define our passion/purpose clearly, then gradually replace distractions with micro-hobbies, then further advance to creating an environmental layout, by doing creating an environmental layout the individual removes all distractions to triple his desired outcome, then the finally step is to monitor progress and milestone achieved.

What I've noticed is that distracted are usually loud and empty, but passion, on the other hand, remains quiet but yet fulfilling.

Now, the ball is in our court to choose either to be addicted to our distractions or to be obsessed with our purpose.
