Leveling Up: My Hive Goals For 2025

One of the most memorable days of my life was the day I joined Hive blockchain. Looking back, my life before Hive was “ordinary”, but joining made it special. For me and many others, Hive is more than a blockchain, it is a place I call home. They say a place where your loved ones are is home. I have made friends with so many good people on Hive whom I now call my family. They have significantly contributed to my growth. Of course, Hive is a source of income. Thanks to the platform, I can now achieve things with my own money, without bothering or being a burden to anyone.

Taking a short trip down memory lane, I remember the first day I joined Hive. I remember when I wrote my introduction post and how I was super excited when I got votes on it. I remember when my total Hive worth wasn't up to $10. It has been a long ride since then. I have grown, and I won’t stop growing. One thing that is certain is that there is still room for growth for me.

Today’s edition of Hive learners prompts asks us about our plans for the new year on the blockchain. What do you hope to achieve by the time 2025 is over? Growing up, I realized I wasn't good at making plans, particularly to do lists. I noticed that whenever I write down my goals, there is a very high chance that I won’t achieve them or get tired along the line. So, I just keep them in my head and do them. Of course, I understand that the importance of to-do lists cannot be overemphasized, however, it is different for me. I plan to achieve a lot in 2025 and I have decided to make plans for them and write them down for another try.

To start with, one of my plans for 2025 is to post every day. I used to think this was impossible. Last year and the year before, I had so many days of not writing on the blockchain. I had a valid reason- school. My number one priority is school. So, I sacrificed posting everyday for school. However, thanks to @hopestylist who made me realize that there is a way we can juggle both school and Hive, all you need to do is make time. My plan is not to get the hivebuzz yearly badge, but if that happens, so be it. However, I plan to post every day. Let’s see how it goes.

Next, another thing I want to achieve in 2025 is build my Hive Power. I really surprised myself in the last few months of 2024. At the beginning of the year, my goal was to achieve 5k HP, I surpassed that goal with almost 1800 more HP despite missing posting for 106 days. Now, imagine what I would have achieved if I had posted on those 106 days. I don’t have a stipulated amount of Hive Power yet, but the goal is to get 100 HP every week. Of course, there will be dry days and rainy days. Getting 100 HP in a month is a very good idea- it is a SMART goal.

I also plan to take my engagement game to the next level. It is my dream to see many communities on Hive grow, and one that I haven't been paying attention to is Hive book club. As a book lover, Hive book club is one of my top communities on the blockchain, but I have not really had time to engage with other book lovers in the community. I hope to change that in 2025. My plan is to start this after my exams- February 1st, I plan to engage on at least 5 posts in the community every day. In general, the goal is to make 300 comments a month (starting February.)

Next, I plan to build my tokens in 2025. I started staking my HBD in 2024, and it has been a good ride ever since. The goal is to stake 1 HBD every day (starting February). I also plan to get more LGN and LEO tokens. Although I haven't really given much thought into this, I'm confident that everything will fall into place when the time comes.

Lastly, one of my goals for 2025 is to continue being a good and outstanding citizen of Neoxian City. The community has significantly contributed to my growth, and it's only right that I contribute to the community's growth in any way I can.
