Risk//You lose nothing, you gain nothing.

As humans being, we make choices everyday and some of those choices we've made have affected our life positively or negatively. No matter what we choose in life, no matter the path we take, there’s always a chance that the choices we make may or it may not go well.

Taking risk means doing something even when you are not sure what will happen. Doing something when you don’t know how it will end. Taking a bond step towards a decision that can either turn out to be good or bad. You are not sure whether It may go well or It may go badly but one thing is, without trying you will never know whether it may go well or not. Risk brings gain sometimes and other times it brings loss.
But one thing is for sure without risk, there is no reward, there will be no gain. if you never try, you'll never win.

Sometimes the risk we take might yield positive result while other times it brings pain that we may wish we hadn't taken the risk from the beginning.

I have taken some risks in my life. One of the first risks I took was when I was in school. A platform called Student Wallet came out. It was new, and many people were scared of using it due to the online fraud that was all over the internet. My friends didn’t trust the platform but I decided to try it. I took a big step and used my school fees and up keeping fees (₦100,000) to invest in the platform.

My friends seriously warned me regarding the platform and said it was not safe, is just like all online platform. But I followed my mind and did it. After one month, I was lucky. The platform gave me back my money plus 30% profit. And in three months, I was able to collect all the momey I invested back and even double the amount I had put in.

Not long after that, the platform crashed and many people lost their money. Mine was already out before it happened. That was a risk I took and I gained from it.

Another risk I took was in forex trading. Early this year, I invested my savings into it, hoping I would make more profit. But things didn’t go my way. The market weny bad and I lost money. It hurt me, but I also learned from it. That’s the thing with risk sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t.

Everything we do in this life involves risk We take risks in many areas of our life. I believe even our sleep is a risk because we are not sure if we sleep tonight we might wake up tomorrow. Many have slept and didn't wake up. Even if we wake up the next day, we are still at risk cause we don't know what the day has install for us. When we open your heart to someone, we are at risk of getting hurt or enjoying the company of that person. When we start a new business, we are at risk of either making profit or loss,when traveling on a road, we are at risk of reaching our destination safely or encountering an accident. When we invest in any business in any business or platform, our resources is at risk. We don’t know what will happen, but we move forward anyway.

Although there are some risks that are wise and smart, there are others that are not. Not all risks are good. Some are dangerous. We should not take blind risks but must think wisely to take good risk. Before making any move of taking any risk, you should ask yourself, what can I gain from the risk I'm taking and what can I lose. Is it worth it to take that risk. If your heart tells you it’s worth it, then go ahead. Successful people in this life are the risk takers.

Doing nothing because of the fear of failure or lost is a risk to me and doing something because of gain is also a risk. You may miss out on good chances or bigger profit if you don't take a risk and at the same time you might end up losing everything if you take the risk.

I believe taking the risk is worth it. Yes, sometimes you’ll fail, sometimes things won’t work out well as plan but each failure a person stronger. And one day, one of those risks will change life for the better.
