Wild animals are not fit as pet

Having a pet is a very common thing in many regions. Some people keep a pet just because of a hobby; it doesn't matter if they are capable of taking care of their pets or not. Even some people keep a pet only to show off; it doesn't matter if they genuinely want a pet or not. Without a genuine attraction for pets, I think it's not possible to take care of those pets properly. For that reason, there are many losses in several countries, and it's a very good thing and helpful to protect those pets. In most cases, dogs and cats are selected as pets.

At the present time, pets are not limited to dogs or cats. Now, many people try to keep lions, tigers, and other animals as pets. It already become a trend. Such a trend is really weird, but it's what's actually happening now. Is it a good thing to keep wild animals at home as pets if people are financially capable of raising them? What are your thoughts related to the topic? To make a better understanding, I think we can consider the animals of the zoo and the animals of the jungle—I mean, the wild ones.

There is a huge difference between the animals in the zoo and the animals in wildlife. I am considering the lion as an example. In a zoo, food is provided, and lions don't need to catch prey. The lion gets the food ready-made without making efforts. On the other hand, the lions that live in the jungle can find their food by themselves without anyone's help. Naturally, the lion of a jungle is much better than the lion of a zoo. In the case of survival skills, I think the cat of a jungle is much better than the lion of a zoo in a caged area. So if a wild animal is kept in a caged area as a pet, it will impact their survival skills, and nothing can be crueler than that because it's like giving all the facilities but snatching the freedom of the wild animal.

The beauty of a wild animal cannot be understood by keeping it inside a cage. How can it be a good thing to snatch the freedom of a wild animal? They are not for entertainment purposes. I feel that it is one kind of humiliation to those animals. There are many people who actually don't care too much about those animals. They just try to make a mini zoo for entertainment and to show off. Even some of them don't provide all the facilities that are needed.

I don't find any valid reason to keep a wild animal as a pet. Some people say that wild animals are good for security, but I think keeping a security guard will cost less than that. What is the necessity of snatching the freedom from a wild animal and losing the true beauty of it? So, I don't think that keeping a wild animal as a pet is a good idea, even if one is capable of doing so, as it costs the freedom of a wild animal.
