Privacy should be maintained

It says that it does not matter how bad or how many crimes or how many mistakes a person makes of what they are facing, they reveal all of those things in front of lawyers, doctors and priests. Doctors and lawyers are bound to keep things confidential by law, but the priests are not. Still, from the ethical perspective everyone is bound to keep those things confidential. A person can sue a lawyer or a doctor if they reveal any confidential information of their client to others special when the client suffers loss for it.

Everyone who goes to the lawyers is not saint. A lawyer needs to defend the client doesn’t matter if the client is wrong or right. A lawyer tries to reduce the punishment when the punishment of client is inevitable, doesn’t matter if the client feels guilty or not. At maximum the lawyer can choose not to take the case if the client is not on the right side. People say that court is the place where justice wins but it’s not true. It’s a place where the party represents the evidence organized way and solid, they wins doesn’t matter if it’s justice or not. But still, we believe that it protects justice as it was created to protect justice. If a lawyer reveals confidential information of client, it thinks it will be valueless as it’s not evidence and if a lawyer keeps evidence against the client for the justice it may be praised by all but it’s also injustice to the client. People may say those people deserve injustice, then I want to ask who they are to decide. Again, who will punish those lawyers for the injustice to the client. Law is made for protecting everyone even if someone is on the wrong side or done evil. Law protects them because for law everyone is equal. If I find out that my lawyer betrayed me, I would love to murder the lawyer as punishment for his injustice also.

When it comes to priests it’s something different. They are not bound by law and there is no way to get them punished if they share any confidential information about a person. Let me tell you, why a person shares his evil act, or wrongdoing with a priest. Obviously, they do that when they feel guilty and they have the intention to correct it or improve themselves. They trust the priests will give them a right direction in life. If the priests share those things with others, people won’t trust them and they may not find the right direction also in life. Again, many people choose to be eviler when they see their good intention are not taken in positive ways and that’s the reason a priest should keep things confidential.

Let’s talk about the doctor’s professions. There are many sensitive cases that people don’t love to share, maybe because of shyness, for the fear of face loss in society. I don’t want to accept it, but the truth is that our society is not so good at taking every disease positively. There are many sensitive cases, but I am taking a normal one as example. Depression is a disease and one person should discuss it with a psychiatrist when they have symptoms of it. But people fear that if someone knows about it, society may treat them as mental patients, and they don’t take it positively. A depressed person needs to go through additional mental trauma if the information is revealed. So, that is why the doctors should keep things confidential because it means many things for a patient.
