It's hard to protect privacy but not impossible

In this digital world, all of us are active on social media. Through social media, we can connect with family and friends as well as with the world. It seems like at the present time, people know about us from social media, which means our social media account is our identity. Most of the people are quite active on social media, and it's indeed difficult to hide their identity from others if we want to remain active on social media.

Most of us want fame and popularity. That's the reason most of us choose not to hide our identity, but everyone is not the same. Some people don't want to reveal their identity, but at the same time, they also want to remain active in social media and continue doing the same thing as others. Some create fake accounts for the sake of privacy, but the interactions and the communication are not as smooth as with a real account because nobody wants to communicate with a person without an identity. But is it necessary to reveal identity for genuine interactions on social media? I think it's difficult, but it's not impossible either. Can I do it? If I can do it, then how?

I think the personality of a person plays the key role here. Some people love to show everything on social media for the sake of fame, and anyhow, they just need popularity, but there are also some people who don't care about popularity. They just want to connect with people and share their opinions with others. For them, sharing their opinion and thoughts matters, and they don't need any kind of attention for it. They want to remain anonymous. It's indeed hard to keep one's identity hidden even if one wants to. But it's not impossible, and I am the proof of it.

You can call me a secret box. It is my nature to keep everything secret. I am not such a person who loves to share things when it's about identity. There is no loss in sharing my identity, but it does not mean that there will not be a loss for it in the future. Additionally, I think I don't need to be recognized by others because of my identity—I mean, my face. I want to create an identity because of my work; here, people will know me because of my activities. Let me share some things like that.

A few years ago, when I joined the online platform for earning. For earning-related things, I create a profile, and all the activities related to earning are shared there. I found many people who faced many difficulties online, and I tried to help as much as possible. I became popular with a fake name, and somehow the popularity caught the attention of a popular group's admin, who offered me the position of moderator, and later he gave me the position of admin also. I became an admin of a popular group even without sharing my identity, and the account was also a fake account. I communicated with many people, but nobody forced me to reveal my face and real identity. Whatever I achieved there was because of my efforts. My efforts created my identity.

On the Hive platform, it's the same for me. I indeed gave my introduction here, but I am sure most people didn't read it, and I never shared my picture here. Instead, I made many friends on this platform, and they are very friendly to me. Here I am very active, and I interact with many people. It gives me a sense of achievement because on this platform, whatever I have achieved is all because of my efforts, not because of my identity. If you notice activity, then you can understand that it is possible to remain active in social media without revealing your identity. But I must say it's not so easy. Even on other social media, I am not so active, and it also means that it's easy for me to protect my privacy, as I am not so active there.
