It's all about choices

The word addiction is generally taken from a negative perspective. It's because whenever we say addiction, we think about drug addiction. Game addiction is addiction to pornography or something else. At least I'm very sure that nothing positive comes to our mind when it comes to addiction, and I also think that there are only very few kinds of addiction that can be considered as positive. So, I don't blame others for thinking negatively about addiction. But the addiction of reading books is good.

Getting addicted to something is quite easy, but leaving it is not so easy as it is easy to come. Most of the time people get addicted to something or some habits because of their curiosity. Later they get used to it and when they try to leave it, they find it very difficult to leave. So, is something related to choice? Or is it something related to being incapable of inability to move on from certain things or from certain habits? What do you think is related to it and why do you think so?

Most of the time, because of our curious mind we try to know which we don't know and it's very natural. To embrace the new thing, we take the steps that it towards two addictions. And most of the time it happens because we don't understand the risk of it. It is very natural for us to be curious, but should we embrace a new thing or not is fully dependent on us. We always know that there always exists some risk in everything and what kind of decision we make should be calculated before making a move. So, I believe that my need comes to an addiction or choosing the way of addiction, it's about the choice we make. In fact, I think that in this world, whatever we face are mostly the consequences of our choices.

Addiction is something that is hard to control, but it's not something impossible. It says that many people try to overcome addiction, but they fail to do it again and again. Some people simply say that they are trying to overcome it, but they don't find a way to break off from the shackle of addiction. Is there any fault of them? Why can’t they overcome the situation so easily? In that case, my answer is quite simple to understand. Habit is not something that can be changed overnight. It takes time and determination, and it's intentional. When it comes to addiction, it's also the same because those people are already addicted to it, which has already become their habit.

Trying to change something all of a sudden is nearly impossible. But taking the decision to be free from addiction is also a choice, but to make it happen one person needs to be determined. Why is definition also needed even if it's a choice? It's because one person can choose to overcome addiction, but it takes a good amount of time and in that time, if the person loses determination or somehow lost the track again, it makes things impossible to overcome addiction.
