THE FACADE OF MOVING

It’s a norm everywhere that people move from one place to another by different means but for me I’d say the most reliable method most times is using your legedisbenz (legs) if you don’t have your own personal vehicle. The reason why I said so is because I’ve seen and been in a lot of situations when using my legs saved me time, money but not energy. Anyways, for everything, there is an advantage and a disadvantage too and that applies to public transportation.

Here in school, we have shuttles inside the school premises to help us the students move from one place to another easily and cheaply but that has changed recently due to the continuing increase in the price of petrol. Inside the school premises, the roads are very okay so moving from one place to another is easy but sadly, they still had to increase the price we normally pay to go from one place to the other.

Although, I’d say the price is quite fair because you can move from any place around the school with just that amount (far or near). So I’d say the major challenge of public transport here in my school and even outside is the delay we encounter waiting for the bus to get filled or stopping by the way to drop someone and the driver has to look for a change for the person and then delaying some others who have an appointment to meet up with.

As students, you have to leave yoir house early but then, sometimes it’s hard for some and getting to where they want to take a vehicle, they get even more delayed because of some other uncontrollable situations. But it will be a lot different if one was driving his or her own personal vehicle. Due to these delay, I even got to realize it was a lot faster taking a walk sometimes than taking a bus but that is definitely going to drain your energy which as a student is a down side.

There is really no particular way out but then personally for me, I just try to wake up as early as possible so I can leave the house early and start walking slowly for classes and if I’m going to somewhere that is not walkable I still have to leave early to compensate for any delay that might affect my journey. Although outside school, there are more problems with public transportation than inside school and there is almost nothing anyone can do to help. The best thing is to work harder so you can get a good paying job to get your own ride, hehe.

Public transportation comes in handy sometimes especially now that the price of petrol keeps rising. But then, when one considers the comfort and some other things, it is not encouraging at all, but what choice do you have? Not much, so we just have to manage whatever we see and try to avoid the ones we can afford as much as possible.

This is my response to the topic on ”PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION”.
