PARENT GUIDANCE IS ADVISED

I know sometimes we are tempted to just put the blame on someone or something and that is just how we are as humans. There are so many movies out there that are regarded as movies indeed because of those scenes that the bad actors played. I can’t actually imagine a movie without those bad guys, it won’t make any sense at all. The fact that I admire those bad players a lot haven’t automatically turned me into a bad person but then I must say it does influences my actions sometimes.

I remember when I first saw 24 hours, an armed robbery movie, I kept on praying that the robbers should at least survive that operation because at some point I let my emotions get the better side of me. I didn’t want them to get caught because I knew that would be the end for them. This movie was filled with a lot of techniques that can teach one to become a better thief. Not to mention the likes of Money heist. It’s indeed very possible that some criminals have seen these movies and it might have motivated them to do a clean job but trust me, that’s not the root cause of the criminal activities in our world today.

The things we see, hear and say goes a long way to influencing our actions. Always seeing a movie that encourages crimes, it’s only a matter of time before you start thinking in that direction. You might not really become a criminal but you might be tempted to try out the skills you’ve been learning all these while. So in as much as these movies are not the root causes of criminal activities, we shouldn’t let our guards down on the fact that they do have some influence over how we think and even tend to act both morally and otherwise, knowingly and unknowingly to us.

So with that in mind, I do believe that maybe the world would have been a lot better if we didn’t have some of these movies. Yes, they do expose us to some entertaining scenes but then, it is very possible that some people watch them not just for entertainment but also to carry them out practically. So even if it is just for these few people, I would advise that some crime scenes should be limited because not every one is truly mature enough to handle what they see. And I think this is also where parents have a bigger role to play.

As parents we have to cautiously guide our kids when it comes to the kind of movies they see because at their young age, if they are not well guided, they tend to always want to practice the things they see, so at a young age, it’s always good to introduce them to things that will help them build their good morals until you are very sure they can handle some things themselves. Sadly, the crimes today keeps increasing because our children are exposed to almost any kind of movies even when parent guidance is advised, trust me that is not going to end well for most children.

As adults, it is fine for us to watch these movies because it is assumed that we know what is right from wrong but we can’t say that for our children, therefore exposing them to these kind of movies early might not be the best thing to do because these children are copy cats. They always want to try out what they’ve seen and if they end up doing it once, they might want to just keep up with it and they might think it’s even the right thing to do. So my advise is, parents should be more attentive to what their children watch at their leisure time and be sure to correct anything that might seem wrong immediately.

Movies have a great effect on us, especially our little ones. Their brains are always so active and they always want to explore anything and everything. So for them, if movies are cleaner it will help reduce the rate of crimes because they have less idea of how to carry out those actions because they are not even sure of what will happen if they doAs someone once said, you see no evil, you speak no evil and you hear no evil, this will help you avoid doing evil.

This is my thoughts on this topic, on ”GLORIFYING CRIME”.
